November passed in a rush of constant baby things and it looks like I only managed to make 2 journal entries. Let's see if December can be better. I hope everyone has gotten their announcements, nearly everyone whose addresses I have I've sent one out to. I'm probably not sending out Holiday cards because I'm still working on getting out announcements. :(
Highlights of the last few weeks have been:
My nearly 90 year old grandmother asking loudly in front of many people if my problems with nursing were because of bad nipples as her nipples were bad
Adina spitting up a large amount of milk with one of her burps and as I complain about the mess, her giving me a look which clearly states "Did I do a good job, Mom? I'm trying!" which just made me laugh and laugh.
Finding out I've not lost any weight since the week after I gave birth. ~.~
Being able to produce 4-6 oz of milks per pumping
Adina discovering her hair, which has lead to her reaching to grab it. This causes her to think "Ow! Someone is pulling my hair!" flail her arms and squeeze her hair tighter. Which causes her to think "OW! Someone is pulling my hair!" and try to flail even more. Repeat.
Adina discovering my hair ~.~so now it must be worn up
Any way since in-laws have been asking and I normally post this around the 23rd of November...
Holy crud, Channukah starts tonight and my birthday is on Monday, ooooops!
STEP ONE
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday/birthday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related to medium to really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address whereSanta (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ.
STEP TWO
Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. SLEEP Oh god I would love 6-7 hours of continuous sleep
2. AN ONSEN or deep hot tub or something for me to relax in for 30-40 minutes
3. Someone to come and watch the baby for 10 hours so I can clean.
4. Cupcakes ;;_;; and barring that a cupcake decorating kit that includes a corer so I can make my own weird filled cupcakes
5. A Sanada 1 Coin Figure to go with my Date >>;
6. A vacation with Hubby and baby (Japan... WDW... somewhere I actually want to go in 2011)
7. Sengoku Basara on DVD (like as in the official subbed copy)
8. A good quality copy of the mp3 Sword Summit by TM Revolution (my copy sucks ;;_;; )
9. Fanfic of either Luka x Yuki or Reiga x Yuki (or both ;;_;; ) from Uraboku (Must be boy!Yuki)I don't know why I love this series it's so cheesy, but I do!
10. Help selling crap/emptying my house of things so I do not become a Hoarder ;;_;;
I will be posting my mailing addy in a subsequent flocked entry.

Date: 2010-12-01 10:52 pm (UTC)Someone linked me to a cupcake-making machine in the shape of a cupcake, but I can't remember if it included a corer. I would offer to make you cupcakes, but I am absolutely terrible at baking them. :(

Date: 2010-12-01 11:15 pm (UTC)Glad to hear Adina is getting curious. Also beware of wearing necklaces & earrings. For being so tiny, babies can have a death-grip. Someone's baby once nearly ripped off my earring *and* ear with it, until someone unpried the little tyke's fingers.
And I wished I lived closer because I would certainly volunteer to come babysit! ^_^

Date: 2010-12-02 03:27 am (UTC)Ohhhhh no, I've not seen it, it sounds amazing! I saw machines that help you make mini cupcakes. If I bake cupcakes perhaps I can get you some lol I'm actually great at baking, it's finding the time and handling the dishes right now. :(

Date: 2010-12-02 03:31 am (UTC)Ohhhh baked goodies! <3 And I know you're very good at baking. I sort of want to make my own cupcakes, but have someone else wash all the dishes and entertain the baby while I do so. >>;
I wish you lived closer too! She is adorable but a lot of work!
Luckily, I don't wear earrings and she so far has not noticed my necklace since it is very low key.

Date: 2010-12-02 04:19 pm (UTC)and a few times did their get a ton of DVDs for $5 salesthe problem is it is very hard to pay even $35 for a 13 episode series. I really do want to support legal releases but that just seems so steep to me. If it were 24 episodes I'd have jumped on it a long time ago. It's $44 via amazon, but I get 2 day shipping for free there.I'm so glad you got the announcement and Happy Channukah! :D
