Mostly alive... its the sleep thing

Appreciate being able to take a shower, it's something that is now a challenge for me, since whenever I am about to hop in, the baby decides she wants to be held. Its not that I mind holding her, its part of why I wanted a baby, I just wish I could put her down for a bit so I could shower... or do dishes... or think about cleaning. I do have a new baby carrier, and hopefully it will help, though of course nothing works for the shower since I can't really bring her in with me.

The Naming went well but gave me tons of stress and tears. I need to figure out how to get videos from Imovie onto youTube to share. Anyone who knows how to do such things please share. With the Naming, Adina has now met nearly all her aunts and uncles save 1 as well as a lot of her relatives. She got to show off her ability to sleep peacefully and look cute.

My sister does not think Bad Romance by Lady Gaga is an appropriate song to sing to a baby.

Healthwise, Mommy gave Adina her first cold and other than some issues with her umbilical cord, Adina has been gaining weight and getting bigger. At her last appointment she was up to 6 pounds 6 oz, which is huge compared to where she was. A part of me is sad, since I know before I know it she will be a pre-teen and complaining that I am too clingy. I'm trying to enjoy her babyhood.

Happy Belated Birthdays to chocolate_chip and becroberts and anyone else who I've missed. I'm trying to still read LJ but actually posting is a lot more of a challenge.

In other news, while I pump I watch anime. It's a wonderful distraction since pumping is not all that fun. So far I watched, all of Uraboku (so much fun and the perfect distraction for pumping) Basara S2 (aka "Koujirou is not a top") random episodes of FMA and now I am rewatching Seed. I figure since Seed is 50 episodes it will keep be going for a bit. I'm on episode 10 now. I'd sort of forgotten how much I loved Seed. And seriously, Asuran and Kira both look more girly than Cagari. I might rewatch Geass next or maybe 00. The prob with 00 is it starts slow. I've thought about watching movies or TV shows but really I prefer something that is watchable in about 23 minute increments as my nipple can't take anything longer in regards to pumping.

I'm glad Adina is gaining some weight - that must be such a relief for you! And I think you are entitled to sing whatever you want to your baby because at that age, she's hardly going to understand it. (Heck, sing to her in Japanese and maybe she'll pick it up. They do say kids learn languages best when they're very young!)

I actually need to get around to acquiring Basara S2... I will reward myself with it after the JLPT.

It is a huge relief for me that she is getting bigger even though she is still pretty petite. I do sing to her in Japanese too, lol Usually Sexy Sexy lol

SB2 is wonderful, though darker than S1 sort of. Highlights without being too spoilerific are: Keiji wangst, Koujirou can not top, Motochika is awesome, Mori is an awesome evil bitch, Date is date, Sanada is molested by ghosts, and Ieyasu is back from the dead in his SB3 incarnation. I so have to stop imagining him singing Cry Me A River

I'm glad to hear Adina is gaining weight! That pic of her with your LJ posts is adorable. I like it when they can open their eyes. And she has hair!

I was bald until I was a year old. And I was quite chubby too -- in my baby pictures, with those 2 things, I just looked like a round ball.

Not as happy as we are, though I sort of miss her extreme tininess from when she was first born. To me she definitely looks bigger already!

I'd forgotten how much I love Seed, it's just so much fun. That and I can't resist Hoshi and Ishida being slashy together.

Oh yes she has a full head of hair, though in most light it is much redder and lighter than it looks in that particular picture. :D

Sometimes she opens her eyes in pictures, sometimes she closes them, she hates flash and I'm trying not to use it too much. I need to get some more pictures up and work on the videos (and make more)

I had a full head of hair but K was pretty bald. None of us were too round and neither is Adina. To me she looks more like a little monkey and now I call her my monkey baby sometimes lol Her other current nickname from me is "milky face"

Glad you got a chance to post! My other friends who have had babies also don't get to post on LJ as often, but that improves as the baby gets a bit older.

I think Bad Romance is a great song to sing the baby. It's not like she is old enough to understand the lyrics, but she can probably enjoy the good beat!

Oh I am sure one she is a little larger things will change, things are even changing now. It makes a huge difference to wear your baby, at least for me since it gives me hands-free and makes the baby happy, i just need to see where her face is always.

It has a great beat and is lots of fun to sing, but then I think any song with silly sounds is lots of fun to sing. (*cough* O-zone *cough*) I think more worrisome is the fact that I do not have a very good singing voice XD;
