Happy Birthday to Yuutan while it is his birthday in both Japan and the US! :D I was going to write a ficlet, I might still do it. I am of course behind lol

I also got my ticket to the Basara event!!! HEEEEEEE So I am row 13 seat 26, which is not center but definitely towards the front center. I hope Hoshi sees me!!! I think I shall wear my favorite perfume just for this. ♥

Speaking of Basara, I've now visited Sanada's grave (which is way hard to find but, Sanada!) and visited the Tokugawa encampment as well.

It's interesting, there has been so much more English spoken in Kansai than when I was last here in October. It's like... Kyoto has completely taken to heart the new Yokoso campaign and everyone wants to prove how much English they can speak. It's sort of nice for me since my Japanese is awful lol

I love my hotel, my room is small but lovely and is super convenient which is really all I want.

I also found a huge love hotel section of Osaka, with my favorites being: The Emperor (which had a hilarious Engrish sentence about "Love" and "Hate" and all I could think is this is what Lelouch did in Area 11 during his brief reign. Wedding Bells, since nothing says wedding like a love hotel. And of course... the Hotel Broccoli, because nothing is as romantic as some broccoli. Oh Japan, please don't ever change.

Both times I've stayed in Osaka, it was on the periphery of the red light district. Innocent little me and my roomie, 10 years ago, realizing that the love hotel next to our actual hotel ... was for guys. Just guys. We were rather amused.

I hadn't realized the area I was planning to walk in was a Love Hotel area. It wasn't really red light, just lots and lots of temples, shrines and love hotels. (and quite a few schools lol) I tend to stay in Osaka near Namba/Shinsaibashi usually. It's usually ah GAH could not get the reservations I wanted in Kyoto choice.

I think I saw a young Japanese couple leaving the Hotel Loire together XD;

Me too! At the very least I am bound to be able to see everything! I only wish I had been able to get a ticket for the Date show, but hopefully there is a DVD. Basara is quite big right now, it is having a special event in Animate starting the 26th.

I don't know which is why the name was so awesome. :D

I'll do my best to get it in one.

It's lovely but very very cold. When I was here in February 2008 the weather was gorgeous, but not this trip.

And oddly enough Kyoto has had all the sun while Tokyo has had all the rain/snow.

I knew the hotel was pretty close which is why I picked it lol I tend to not always want to walk far to the train station and I have a very early morning train on Sunday.

I'm so excited for the event!
