SADNESS!

I lost the tickets I was bidding on. I bid quite high and it is annoying because I was just outbid by a bit and as the tickets are concert tickets I need to let SMJ bid on them so it's not even like I can snipe. I'm also frustrated since some of the other tickets I was considering sold for considerably less and I could have won those. So now I am once again on the look out for good seat(s) to see Hoshi. I have another auction I am watching, the seats are not as good, (more off to a side) but row 12-14 seems good. I just wish I could bid myself like on other items and didn't have to bid manually since it makes it an awful lot more work for me.

I'm still attempting to figure out my Japan trip. I've fallen in love with the idea of visiting one of Takeda's hidden onsen and I still really want to go back to Ueda and Bessho.

I've also discovered that despite being called plum blossoms ume are in fact apricot blossoms. ~.~ I don't see why one calls them plum when they are in fact apricot. On the happy side there are going to be some ume fests while I am in Japan and I am determined to go!

Onto Memeage!

I think it's more accurate to say that "ume" is known as "Japanese plum" or "Japanese apricot" in English (Wikipedia also lists "Chinese plum" as an accepted common name), but is neither an apricot nor a plum. The Japanese word for apricot is "anzu".

Looks like the apricot/anzu is Prunus armeniaca, ume is Prunus mume, and plums are Prunus prunus.

..I really like the fact that your such a versatile writer I just wish you wrote things now for a fandom I knew something vaguely about lol I'm not sure I know the names of any Hockey teams other than the Rangers You can write smut, drama and comedy, which is not something a lot of people can do. Usually they fall flat on at least one. I also really like the way how of all my friends I think you change the most.

Plus I secretly like how you pop up and surprise me sometimes by commenting on things lol

I wonder if one can buy the trees here though to plant. I was just very surprised to see that JNTO has decided to translate ume as apricot or at least they decided to do so for all of their listings for events in February.

And as for things I like about you, I feel like you always teach me something and give me another perspective, that I might never have had otherwise. I also really like how dedicated you are to making posts nearly every day in LJ.

Yes, they have nothing listed for the Basara event at all.

It's not that I can't win seats, I could on Y!J but if I am overpaying I want a really good seat lol The seats were by lottery and someone actually entered the lottery for me 2x but we lost both of them so now I'm using Y!J.

I'm really hoping I can win some seats!

And for things I like about you, you stand by your friends and will stick up for them no matter how unpopular it may be.

I'm also deathly jealous you climbed Fujisan
