Incest

Ah incest pairings, at one point my preferred ship in general though not quite so much unless Suzaku has siblings we never knew he had I do admit to enjoying a little incest with Lelouch and it's sort of hard not to ship Euphie/Cornelia and VV/Chaz lol I mean isn't part of the actual plot to Geass revolve around the VV/Chaz/Marianne love triangle?!? So I guess I still do like some incest pairings... they're just different ones. I tend to prefer sibling slash and find how the love between siblings gets twisted into something more fascinating. I blame it on reading VC Andrews at a tender age. Or perhaps Clamp.

Basil

Not just a spice in my house, he's one of my two cats. Basil got his name because I adore the spice, particularly in pesto and I was trying to go with a food theme with all my cats. Basil is not the sharpest cat and has a very funny waddle. At times he almost seems more dog like than cat like but fortunately he doesn't smell as bad as a dog nor is he as noisy. He's friendly and silly and for some reason [livejournal.com profile] isachi thinks he is plotting evil.

Prince of Tennis

At the moment, it's a burden to me lol I need to figure out if I can pawn Penal-tea.net off onto someone and I have soooooooooo many doujinshi from it I want to unload because I've come to either hate or just not care about most of the characters. I am still amused by the AUs [livejournal.com profile] mustcalove and I came up with, but at this point all of them are so disconnected from the actual series that it's not always easy to see them as being related. When does an AU cross the line into nearly original work? Is that even possible? I do still like Yuutan, though my love for him has recently been overshadowed by the fact that Suzaku has come onto the scene as well as Sanada Yukimura. Both of which have the plus that they actually get merchandise and doujinshi, and both are voiced by seiyuu I've liked since 2001 or so. ^_^;;

I think I've moved to that final stage of grief with it finally, acceptance lol

Vegetables

Not only do I love to eat nearly all vegetables, I also adore growing them! I've been a vegetarian since 1991, but I've preferred vegetables to meat really most of my life. I've always been much more picky about what meat items I will eat or generally not eat than which vegetables. Even as a small kid I would happily eat lima beans or peas but heaven help you if you tried to make me eat fishsticks! I've come to appreciate vegetables even more as an adult since I love to cook. There is really a lot you can do with them, even if I am lazy and tend to make semi repetitive things. I also love growing my own. There is a wonderful feeling of fulfillment to see that pea or green bean seed you planted pop up and eventually get flowers and become something you can eat. And then you can save the seeds and start the process all over again. I'm pretty excited about some of the things I've managed to grow this year and look forward to future gardening excitement. I learned a lot about tomatoes and even more about squash.

Japan

Is my favorite tourist destination because there is so much to see and do and is someplace I can truly travel on my own. Ever since I was small I've dreamed of traveling, but sadly my husband is not every fond of it. Which leaves me the options of either not traveling or traveling on my own. I've picked the latter and Japan is the perfect place to do so. I love how it is both exotic at times and very Western at others. Lately, I've tried to do something different each trip to Japan I take and I generally try to get in a lot of sightseeing. My last trip I got to: visit Jesus' grave, eat puffed rice exploded from a canon, bathe naked in hot water on a mountain, and nearly die in a snow storm! Good times! I keep thinking at some point I am going to tire of Japan, but it seems like there is always something interesting I've not been to yet. I do find there are places I am tired of and can easily skip, but I know even this trip I am having to compromise and won't get to do everything I really want to do. My biggest regret is learning that a lot of things I want to do are seasonal, aka closed from November to May or June. Sadly, that is the exact time I tend to go to Japan. ^_^; Sorry Yudono-san!
