R.I.P. Sheila Lukins

While most people I know were probably more affected by Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Ted Kennedy, and Michael Jackson's deaths for me the most influential person to recently die was Sheila Lukins.

I have her to thank for opening my eyes to the fact that there were more types of apples than just McIntosh, Red Delicious, Yellow Delicious and Granny Smith and while her cuisines was not the healthiest, it celebrated fresh and at the times different produce like cilantro.
