...back from the cult
May. 28th, 2009 08:28 amand we had a lovely time. I got to see quite a few old friends and enjoyed the fact that Oberlin has really upgraded its dinning options. It's not NYC or SF, but way cheaper than both and now there are actual real restaurants. The dinning service catered food still needs improvements despite a new company interested in local produce taking over. The only true stunner was a simple salad with feta, something I normally would avoid like the plague because most feta is way too salty for me to touch.
Speaking of food, TGiF should stand for Thank God it's Fried. ~.~ I swear it seemed like everything on their menu was at least 1800 calories and had been fried for a minimum of 5 minutes.
The Millennium is still the greatest coaster in the world and I can't believe the Magnum is 20 years old. Some of the other coasters gave me headaches. I can't decide if it is because I am old or I was dehydrated.
The garden has taken off while I was away and my tomato seedlings are now 4-5 inches tall. I'd plant some of them but my mom is worried she has deer and I want to own some solutions before I plant my babies. The peas are loving their fence and my beans are climbing it too and making me realize I need to order more. I still can't tell if 3 plants are beets or chard though lol
Happy Belated Birthday to
jusrecht and anyone else I might have missed while away and Happy Early Birthday to
muscatlove since the next two days promise to be busy.
