More on Japan

So I'm attempting to plot out my next trip to Japan. It looks like the evening of the 24th I'm going to be in Morioka so that we can then do our Tohoku adventure the next day. We booked rooms and they all look really nice and have onsen! ♥ But the problem is now figuring out what I am going to do when ee970 leaves me.

I sort of want to stay in the Fujisan hotel cause it has amazing looking baths, though the best ones are for men only. as they involve bathing naked right next to a river and I am sure I can't eat any of the food they serve. I also really want to go to Hiraizumi since it is supposed to have super nice temples. But my other goal is to go to Dewa Sanzan and try to visit Haguro-san, Yudano-san and spend some time in Sakata. I am having a difficult time getting all these pieces together and if at all possible I also want to make a day trip to Shizuoka to track down the shrine that can double for Kururugi jinja I think. *sighs*

For my own edification, I am now thinking of:
Going up to Hiraizumi on Friday and meeting Erin in Morioka that night
Sat-Mon Tohoku adventure
Mon night catching a train from Morioka to Akita to take the sleeper train to Sakata.
Mon night Sakata
Tues I could see some of Sakata and then go to Haguro-san
Tues night a temple lodging in Haguro-san
Wed see more of Haguro-san and then try to get to Yudono-san
Wed night???
Thurs ???
Thurs night I want to be back in Tokyo
Fri I want to go to Shizuoka I think??
Saturday I want to hang out in Tokyo and maybe go to Tachikawa?
Sunday is SCC Day 1
Monday is SCC Day 2
Tues is Dolpa
Wed I go home?

dilettantka what are your plans on either Friday or Saturday or Sun-Mon post SCC? I suspect Mon I will finish early at SCC since I mostly collect Geass and that is Day 1.

I guess the real question is what time Erin thinks we're going to get back to Morioka. I suspect the rental car needs to be back by 19:00 which would make my idea to go to Sakata then possible. Another thought is going to Sakata during the day on Tues and stretching things out more.

Yamagata has a really nice website. I wonder how hard it would be to go to Zao onsen. I wonder if it is as nice as in pictures. >>;;

I really need to think about this.

Let's see... Friday I may have work, it wasn't really clear, but maybe. that would be until 3. Saturday I actually have no plans right now *shock* Sunday I'm going to Dream Live 6 in the afternoon and then during the evening show I've been recruited to babysit Sarah's mom and shop with her because Sarah's going to the evening show, lol. Monday I have no plans. Tuesday is Lindsay's dance performance, and then Wednesday Yasuka's Peacemaker play starts (eek so excited about that one)

I would love to see you and this time I am going to be god and not leave your special treat in NY ;;_;; Would you be up for going to Tachikawa and that yummy Chinese place for lunch? And if not want to meet Mon post SCC Day 2? I'm mostly just going to look for things for other people I think. I'm not sure what is on Day 2, I just know it is not Geass XD;;;;

I'm so happy for you about the play! ♥ I'm sort of glad I missed the SCC deadline cause I can't imagine trying to do a doujinshi between now and the 22. OK I can and it would be stressful XD;;;
