...my husband just called. She passed away this morning. My father in law was with her.

She wasn't always the sort of person I would want as a relative but she was still family and it did help normally that she lived far away. I admit, the longer we were married the easier I found it to just smile and be light and happiness with her since our visits were for a limite time period.

It meant a lot to me though that she did ask my husband about me and if I could have I would have gone out to see her before she passed.

I'm glad I did get to go to the funeral since I also wanted to be there to support my in-laws.

I think so, she went pretty fast once they moved her into hospice and I think sometimes that is the best.

up until 12 hours before she went she was pretty mentally there and she got to see a lot of her family and talked to her brother on the phone.

I think she was semi comfortable and she definitely had most of her family with her and I think she would have been happy with her funeral. She had really wanted her grandkids to perform at it and the home had gotten a new organ and piano since the funeral for her 3rd husband in '06.

I hate when my laptop gives me trouble, I need a new battery for mine since the current one is awful and loses power way too fast.
