Thank you so so so much [livejournal.com profile] becroberts for the gift!!! It was just what I both needed and didn't need since I am happily munching on toffee but I worry my clothes will soon no longer fit lol

I went to see my cousin and it went smashing! Her daughter, particularly the older one majorly set off my geekdar, but we had a good visit and I am so looking forward to seeing them again. My cousin collects Hello Kitty stuff so I shall have to get her something in Japan from one of the Sanrio stores and her kids like Pokemon lol The oldest also likes Pitchi Pitchi Mermaid and moe cat girls. which is why my geekdar went off

Currently I am trying to decide if I am being blessed for procrastinating or if I'm just cosmically being laughed at. Last week, I started the process of looking at airfares, and the prices sucked but well I was cutting it a little close and lately the prices are always high. I had wanted to do NY to Osaka and Tokyo to NY returning, but that was quite a bit higher than a round trip to Osaka which was the cheapest option. I held an itinerary let it expire. Today, I went and checked again and the airfare form NY to Osaka was CHEAPER for the exact same flights! :D I put the new itinerary on hold as well.

In the blah news, I was not paying attention and missed the pre-order for the next Geass box set and now it is stupid expensive but I might just pay it and get it because I am Geass' victim, it's Suzaku, he's just too adorable.

Also the hotel I want to stay is giving me the following error when I try to book it Because the lodging data it is in the midst of renewing
with "Travel Site" or the accommodations,
the preparation of the room does not do
and I can't figure out what it means. I'm hoping it means if I wait a bit my hotel will show back up since it says there are rooms and I want to stay there cause the price is great, it has a bath and it even gives you breakfast. Gah I wish I had booked earlier.

In Tokyo I am thinking of staying at the Prince. I found out I can book a single for 8500 yen a night which seems rather reasonable, now to just make sure they really do have internet.

EDIT The hotel came back on line and I booked the room!! Now I just have Tokyo to do :D

Hey, I'm really glad meeting with your cousin went so well!

And yay for booking hotels and airfare, and cheaply at that!

Which Prince? The Shinagawa charges an extra ¥1000 per day (?) for internet, at least in the super cheap rooms. The bed was comfy, though.

Ikebukuro. I don't like Shinagawa. I think there is a Den and Deluca there, but that is about it.

Hmmm I wonder if Ikebukuro does, they don't say it on the website I am looking at...

I wanted to stay in the Grand but I think it is booked. ~.~

I'm still working on airfare and hotels but it is mostly going well. I am thrilled I got the hotel I wanted in Osaka!

That is so wonderful it went well with your cousin. I feel you because I had reached out to an estranged friend a few weeks ago and it had gone rather well. Plus I've been watching too much of the The Locator which sends me on teary reunion sentimentalness. XD

Glad you had a good time with your cousin! Makes me wish my cousin and second cousins didn't live so far away!

Glad the bookings for Japan seem to be going well so far. I can't wait to see you when you get here!

My cousin got pretty teary at times and even I felt a little bit of wetness. It didn't help that we were looking at old pictures.

It's really nice to talk to someone who was so important in your life and I loved getting a chance to see her children! :D

I can't wait to see you too! I'm so excited about Japan. I feel so happy I didn't book my airfare right away now since saving $200 is really nothing to sneeze at. Unless the fees+taxes get cut I doubt it is going to go much lower.

All my cousins live within 1 hour of me but the cousin I saw was the only one close to my age and the only one older than me. The ones who live closest to me are my father's sister's children but they're all super religious! ^_^;;

Well, no one *needs* goodies from Thorntons, but I don't think they ever go amiss. ^_^ I'm so pleased the package made it to you safely! I'm always worried about sending anything out this time of year. Anyway, you'll get plenty of exercise soon in Japan, so I wouldn't worry about the clothing!

I'm glad things are going well with your cousin. It must be so nice to repair ties with family members again - and it's quite nice that you have a little something in common with her family too, since you can get them something from Japan.

Re: the Prince in Ikebukuro. I can't say from personal experience 'cause last time I stayed there they didn't do it, but a friend of mine stayed there over the summer and she had no problems hooking her laptop up to the Internet in her room. I don't know if it's for all rooms, though?

No they don't ♥ ♥ and toffee is such a treat. I'm hoping I lose some weight in Japan lol I bought my airline ticket!

Yes, I'm getting her a Hello Kitty mug or something Hello Kitty and the kids some Pokemon things though the ones girl likes catgirls so I am trying to tell myself not to get her something from Loveless lol

They claim they have a LAN cable, but I'm not so keen on paying 1000 yen a day for internet. ;;_;; I really wanted to stay in that place I liked the other time, but they're booked I think on Saturday night. Ah well I am set for Osaka and I have my ticket! :D
