rkoldAs I am still coming to terms with a life without Code Geass each week I decided to write up some reviews of recent doujinshi I bought. I do have a lot more books, but I figured this would be a god start. I'm not scanning inside pages and I do ask that people not use these cover scans for anything. I'm mostly sharing my thoughts on the books since it can be hard to decide whether or not to buy a book and since I own these already someone ought to share their thoughts. I am only sharing thoughts on books I don't regret buying. Please note I do not read Japanese but I can usually get the gist of the story decently well.
Title: Unsure
Circle: Double Slash
Pairing: Luciano x Suzaku and GinoSuza
Thoughts on story: I really like how Double Slash's art has matured. I have a few of their earlier books and their art is no where near as nice as it is now. They do tend to draw Suzaku a little young looking at times, but that doesn't bother me much and he just looks a little young not SUPER young. The story involves Luciano raping Suzaku. There is blood play too and it is very wrong. The story ends with Gino going looking for Suzaku and does not deal well with what he finds. The scene where Gino and Luciano pass one another is really well done. I don't know if this book takes place within the other universe most of their other books takes place in.

Pairing: GinoSuza and LuluSuza
Thoughts on story: This is a long serious story (with smut) and is connected to several of Double Slash's earlier books. It begins with Suzaku still having issues with cutting/scratching himself which started 2 books ago with the revelation of his having murdered his father. (Lelouch tries to fuck the sadness out of him in that book as well as starts the scratching, but well considering what happens post that... ) Talk of Zero send Suzaku into a breakdown and Gino finds him curled up in the shower which of course leads to some sex. Gino is really nice and intelligent in the book and I love how he is portrayed. I also like messed up in the head Suzaku and his Lelouch issues make perfect sense to me. I'm hoping they continue with this storyline.

Circle: Double Slash
Pairing: Gino x Girl!Suzaku, Anya x Girl!Suzaku, and implied Lelouch x Girl!Suzaku
Thoughts on story: Oh Girl!Suzaku. The story is quite smutty and involves Anya tying up and using a vibrator on girl!Suzaku and then sending Gino to where she is so that they can have sex. Girl!Suzaku also uses the vibrator on herself thinking about Lelouch. The ending is the best part. It's actually much pornier than either of the two previous books and is really just mostly smut.

Circle: Rainy
Pairing: Gino x Suzaku
Thoughts on story: Rainy's smut is not particularly graphic but is a major component of the 2 stories. The first involves some happy GinoSuza smut with Suzaku in his Suzako costume and Gino in an Ashford uniform. The second involves happy desk smut. Their Gino and Suzaku seem to be in a happy relationship as well. I don't know if this book is connected to any of their earlier ones
Title: A Medicine of Love
Circle: Rainy
Pairing: Gino x Suzaku
Thoughts on story: This is a short book but very cute. It involves Suzaku and Gino wearing yukata at some sort of festival (possibly in China) and eating some sort of lizard which makes them so horny they just go at it under the cover of some bushes. They do seem to be dating and it seems quite happy.

Pairing: Schneizel x Suzaku and GinoSuza
Thoughts on story: This story is a huge angst-fest and their Gino at first seems so nice but is really a semi evil bastard. Suzaku and Gino both seem to like one another though Suzaku has issues from his past. This includes visits by Schneizel to his bed at night which appear to be dubious consent. Gino and Suaku are interested in one another, but Gino refuses to have sex and just holds and snuggles Suzaku not wanting to be like Schenizel. If it had ended there I would have thought Gino was just amazingly wonderful but no, it seems Gino is spying on Suzaku for Schneizel and Kanon (presumably this is how Kanon pulls that stunt at the shrine.) I really like the art but just wow... so not what I expected in the story.

Pairing: Gino x Suzaku possibly past Schneizel x Suzaku and Lloyd x Suzaku
Thoughts on story: This is a mostly re-print of their earlier copyhon (I think called Gold) with just Kanon added to one panel and a final page where Gino is pissing off Kallen by babbling on and on about Suzaku while Suzaku and Nunnally watch (or listen in the case of Nunnally.) The main story I think involves Gino needing to have sex with Suzaku for some sort of experiment for Lloyd and Schneizel and Gino totally falls for Suzaku during the sex because Suzaku is just that good. The implication being Gino now wants to he sex with Suzaku on a regular basis. I really love this circle's art despite the fact they are not overly graphically smutty, but they are horrible about putting out new books ;;_;;

Pairing: Gino x Suzaku and Gino x 2 Suzakus
Thoughts on story: I find these stories by Mime sort of confusing, I sort of prefer some of their earlier books as they were easier to make sense of. Their art is cute the smut is not very graphic and is more implied than in the story, but the idea of GIno and 2 Suzakus makes me snicker.

Pairing: Gino x Suzaku
Thoughts on story: Unlike all the earlier books, I'd never heard of this circle before and did not have anything by them before this I think. The story involves Gino wanting Suzaku but not thinking Suzaku wants him but with a little intervention from Anya they end up in bed. Gino is really sweet in the book and the sex seems very consensual though Suzaku is a bit confused at first. I really like their art too! The omake is hilarious and involves Suzako. Cause my Japanese sucks I am not sure if it is boy!Suzaku Suzako or actual girl!Suzako. Lelouch also sort of wants Suzaku, but Gino grabs Suzaku and makes his claim lol

Pairing: Gino x Suzaku
Thoughts on story: Possibly starts dub con and changes to consensual sex, this is another story in which Arthur gets Suzaku into a situation where someone has sex with him. (It was Arthur knocking over some cream in a LuluSuza book that got Lelouch doing Suzaku) I think this one is a lot more enjoyable than the earlier GinoSuza, Paper Chase and the sex is better too. >>;; I love the bathtub scene in the end.

Thoughts on story: Though not as smutty as some circles, I really like Zaco. I use to buy their LloydSuza despite not being into LloydSuza. Gino and Suzaku appear to be a semi established couple now and I'm not sure if this book connects with their earlier books. Suzaku tries to study and Gino would rather study human anatomy. XD;; It also has two cute stories with Gino, Suzaku and Anya.

Pairing: Light Gino x Suzaku
Thoughts on story: Several short stories and one long one. The short stories are mostly gag and cute, there is a great one where Gino is upset cause Anya gets Suzaku's hat, several shorts of Gino going after Suzaku's hat, Gino pretending to be pregnant after eating a corndog with Suzaku, and a slightly more serious story about Suzaku becoming a Round. The main story is pure crack and where the cover comes from. Gino was a puppy raised by the Britannians (I think Schneizel) and falls madly for the adorable new tiny chibi puppy that belongs to Euphie, Suzaku. Lelouch and Nunnally come for tea with their new puppies Rolo and Kallen. Kallen is cranky, Rolo has issues when Gino is too excited to see Lelouch. Gino is just thrilled with the new puppies and can't stop glomping them and is particularly fond of Suzaku. This is a cute book but not really a pairing book.

Pairing: Gino x Suzaku+Evil Britannians x Suzaku
Thoughs on story: Wow this circle is incredibly porny, like so porny. I didn't realize it before but I have a short by them in another book from 07 and that was also really porny. They also like doing awful things to Suzaku. >>;; Gino likes Suzaku and I am pretty sure it is mutual but their relationship is not going past friendship. Gino tries to snuggle Suzaku in bed to help him realize how much Gino actually cares. We get a super porny flashback of 14 year old Suzaku getting raped by evil Britannian soldiers when he was new to the army and that is of course why he has intimacy issues. (like he needs more reasons to have intimacy issues ^_^;; ) the book ends on a bright night with Suzaku crying and I think actually talking more to Gino. I'm not sure if this book is connected with the next, but if it is, well Gino has a super bumpy road ahead >>;;

(& if I can randomly interject this, I think I have found a translator for Highness, the Schneizel/Suzaku & THIS HAS PUT ME ON CLOUD NINE all day. ) so you can expect to see it in the future. I also think they might be willing to do more Code Geass projects with me (hopefully).

Ohhh nice, I am still scanlating one of the Poison Boy GinoSuza books but its taking me a long time to delete to do it. Maybe I will work on it a bit tonight. Is it the Vivi Mitsuno one and is the Highness 1 or Highness 0? That is so great you found someone. I wish I knew someone who would be willing to translate a lot of books for me. I always feel bad asking people. >>;;
If they're willing to translate I will scan the inside of the Monthly Planets GinoSuza above. >>;; I'd love to know the story in it. <<;
