First, I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to the discussion in my post from yesterday. I apologize for jumping to an incorrect conclusion. I completely appreciate everyone who contributed to the discussion for being both mature, courteous and honest. I can't say how much I truly appreciate it. I had considered flocking the post because I was concerned about repercussions and ramifications but I instead it became a really good discussion which I think was useful to everyone who contributed, at least I know it was for me.

Second, in one week I leave for Japan. I can't believe it.

Third, today was a very hard day for me. The gigantic tulip tree behind my parents house had to come down. Last year it was struck my lightening, but we had been hoping to salvage the other two trunks as the tree was super old (we think it was from around 1812!) but unfortunately the tree was completely rotted, we're talking HUGE holes in it, and the entire thing had to come down. It's quite sad and a good lesson that I ought to have the giant oak in my back yard tested to make sure it has not rotted.

Fourth, my peas are hating all the sunshine they are now getting and are turning yellow and dying. This makes me sad as they grew so well and I love peas. On the bright hand side this bodes well for using this patch as a winter garden and growing arugula and spinach.

Fifth, I had a horrible senior moment today that I don't even want to share because it was so incredibly embarrassing. It managed to mess up my shopping today and I wasn't able to buy yummy squash and heirloom tomatoes at the farmer's market. I am hoping I can still get some from Whole Foods at least.

Sixth, Happy Sukkot!!!!!!

I need to order tulip bulbs, except a poll soon regarding colors.
