I should be happy
Aug. 4th, 2007 12:34 amI would love to just announce I am now currently and finally a published author and how pleased I am about this, however I can not.
For those who don't know, I strongly believe in freedom of speech and I am less than amused with the games that LJ is currently playing. Whether you think the images constitute inappropriate porn, LJ should have been clearer about their ToS, should have warned the banned users to allow them to remove said artwork before it was banned. I find it interesting that at least 2 of the bans were popular HP fan artists, (gah, I've loved Elaboration's art from the Godson fic!) and again it seems to be hitting HP harder than other fandoms. I do wonder if part of it isn't the long arm of JKR/Warner.
Chances are high I suspect I will be jumping ship because I don't really want to support a company who does the sorts of things LJ is doing. I am most certainly not paying for my account come November. I have a GreatestJournal and an InsaneJournal and I might slowly start to move over to one of those or maybe just give in and create a blog under one of my domain names.
