So it seems the MIA mod of the SuzaLulu comm has just lost interest in the fandom. I know this sounds silly, but maybe back when she lost interested she should have looked for new mods instead of waiting until now when there is a problem with the moron. (I do think the person is a moron and not a troll per se since they keep posting to the Geass Comm proper. I just think they're a moron and all the people posting in defense of Suzaku sort of feed into it since it makes her think there are people to argue with.) Despite my new love for GinoSuza, I've applied to be a mod since I think I'd be a rather good one. I'd love to share mod duties with someone else, but well it's an awful thing to say but I probably have more Lelouch/Suzaku doujinshi than anyone in foreign fandom and I'd be happy to do giveaways for some of them if I am a mod. >>; I like holding contests. As the mod for GinoSuza, I'm planning on doing some already in July for Suzaku's b-day.

Speaking of Lelouch, I now have a Lelouch stallion and as soon as Suzaku is mature I think I'm going to mate them and get sparkly babies.

In other news, my back is doing a lot better though lifting and carrying still stink. ~.~ I seriously need to work on sales this week end. I finally put away my new purchases form February/May and discovered I own a lot more Code Geass doujinshi than I thought XD;; And it doesn't help a lot of new ones are coming out I want.

I'm...very underimpressed. Want to know something interesting? Go comb back through the mod posts and you'll find the one where the original mod offered the comm up for grabs and two people asked for it -- one was her (going by Okami_Rei then) and the other was ...dum dum dum...me. Yep. I asked for it and as the mod knew OR she shifted it onto her shoulders. I was disappointed but I was like whatever because OR was on my FL and she was into it so it was all going to be okay, right?

...less than a month later OR deleted her journal, got a new one, and the comm was abandoned.

Do you have any idea how aggravated I was by that? I mean, seriously? I run six different comms and have for the last 5 years. I think I could handle it.

The kicker? When the troll business started up again? I noticed she'd been added as a maintainer again so I PMed her again (I'd PMed her once a long time ago about the comm and gotten nothing) and was essentially like, we have a troll, we are being spammed, please do something about this. She wrote me back said she was out of the fandom and then offered me maintainership of the comm. (I have the PM for this). I said yes and got prepared to do something about the troll and

...there....

...was...

...nothing...

I left her a note on her LJ on one of her entries saying hey, I'm ready whenever you are to do something about this and the next thing I see? She's offering up the maintainership to the community at large. After leaving me hanging for two days.

Maybe I sound petty but this really pisses me off. I'm fine with the idea that she did wanted to offer up to the community at large. I'm not fine with the fact she essentially said I'll give it to you, I said yes, and then she just fucked off and left me hanging. The least she could have done is said she'd changed her mind. I'd have been disappointed but I would have understood and I wouldn't have been wondering what was going on. I figure it's just common courtesy to tell someone you changed your mind.

I'm disappointed because I wanted to do something since I really love the pairing and I felt like maybe I'd get a second chance at trying to keep the comm up given the way it down the first time. I started to put myself forward again but then realized ... what's the point?

The whole thing has left a seriously bad taste in my mouth and I was skipping all my CG comms last night because I was so angry at being jerked around last night. =__=;;

Good luck with your sparkly pony babies. Can we see pictures of Suzaku and Lelocuh ponies?

I started to create a Lelouch/Suzaku community, but then got distracted by a day or 2 and by the time I made it, there was already this one. ~.~ So I do understand. It's one of the reasons in the end I decided to make the GinoSuza comm. I wanted a comm I could run and have some control over. ^_^;; I do like both pairings. I admit in R2 I like GinoSuza more, but I do still like both and I own a lot of stuff.

I just hope whoever she picks is half competent and maybe they should pick more than one mod. If somehow I get to be mod, I'll make you one as well. :D I've not modded so many LJ comms, but I have run a lot of websites and for a few years I helped run a popular on-line doll club.

One thing I would like to do is make the comm more open to those of us who actually prefer LuluSuza. There are some of us out there and right now the community is being done in such a way that it doesn't feel as open to the other direction.

I understand people's interests change but if she lost interest after a month maybe she should have found someone new then. I mean give me a break. And her whole make sure to tag posts, but I'm leaving o_O; I just am really worried about who she might give it to now and what they're going to be like. *sighs*

It just really aggravates me because SuzaLulu is my favorite Geass pairing currently and I /know/ I could do a better job over there that's been done. I was kind of annoyed the first go around but yanno, if someone gets it and they do the work then it's all for the better and I'm not going to begrudge them that. I was more unhappy that in this case it was taken by someone who then abandoned it and honestly, we've been very lucky the comm hasn't run into shit before now.

I appreciate the offer and if you get it and you mod me, I'll do whatever is needed. I really just want to promote the pairing and make the community a place where we can all just interact and enjoy ourselves. Like you I've been running websites and fanlistings and forums for years so I'm not totally inexperienced at having to do hard work or making sure the line is towed. At this point, I'll be happy if whoever gets it just runs it properly and will make a point of taking care of it. I'm a little nonplussed that the trolling was deleted originally but the troll wasn't banned. ~_~

Honestly, I don't see why you can't have both sides of the equation because yeah, okay you have your preferred seme but...it's the same damn pairing. Just a different angle of it. It's not something you need to attack someone over or lord it over. It's like the SoraRiku and RikuSora thing in KH fandom. ~_~ Same pairing but people get very up in arms about it. You don't get a cookie just because you have one preference and someone else has another and you think you're right. ~__~

Hmmm it's not that Suzaku/Lelouch vs. Lelouch/Suzaku has to be a war, I'm part of the Snupin comm and while I prefer Snape/Lupin over Lupin/Snape the community is very very open to both. However, and this is partially through lack of leadership, the current Suzaku/Lelouch comm does not seem particularly open to both sides. Part of it is just the choice of wording with the understated assumption that of course it is SuzaLulu and not LuluSuza. I don't think there needs to be a war but I think by just changing the wording a little bit it becomes a lot more inclusive. I do know of other people who ship LuluSuza who have specifically not joined the comm because it was felt to be too much SuzaLulu. This isn't an indictment against people who prefer it the other way ^_^;; I just don't and think something as small as having the name be the Suzaku/Lelouch Lelouch/Suzaku Community or just switching back and forth in the description between the two would make it a lot more open seeming or heck add interested and have both listed as an interest. ^_^;

There are some pairings I don't mind who is seme and who is uke, (ReyShinn) but others I am much more set on.

The community is sort of umm dead. ^^; Until the recent troll the community maybe got 1 post a week if that. I'd like to see a mod who makes the community a more active and fun place.

It's a bit disturbing the whole situation. ^^; I am just nervous how this person is going to pick a new mod and if they even will.

My ponies are from PonyStars (http://www.ponystars.com/index.php?). You get to make an original pony (but you can't pick the sex which is why I now have tons of white ponies with yellow hair lol) and can pick the type and the colors. After raising your pony 3-4 days you are given a "wild pony" that is mature to care for. The plus of that is the mares can be knocked up right away and the stallions can breed. I really wanted a little female Suzaku pony and got lucky. XD; I needed a boyfriend for her and got a wild pony who just made me think Lelouch what with the purple and sparkles. XD;;

It serves no purpose but to waste time. XD;;; And since it is currently free I am rather pleased with it. Kim and I plan to mate some of our ponies. :D

I don't think there has to be a war at all. More that I was saying I can see where you're coming from as I've seen it happen in other fandoms and don't understand. I tend to write my pairings switching a lot anyway so I ... don't really care who tops in one fic because the other will probably top the next go around. ~_~ I tend to cover both bases in fics by writing the pairings as SuzaLulu/LuluSuza. *shrugs Because I really don't think it matters. XD;; At least not to the point where people should be uncomfortable or snippy about things. We're shipping the same people here. I think. Then again, sometimes I think aliens have replaced the characters in fic. *headdesk

It's not quite as dead as it was. XD; But there hasn't been a lot of incentive to post over there. The couple of fics I threw up there, I had someone try to get in my face about how much Suzaku sucked and I had to have a "discussion" with them. They backed off but it was really ridiculous. Both characters are extremely flawed, you can prefer one over the other and such without resulting in character bashing. And I really don't get how you can like a ship if you go on to explain that you hate one half of the pairing that much. Which is essentially what I was told.

I'm kind of concerned about when and how she's going to do it as well. =__= Because this has been dragging on for awhile now and I half expect her to just not do anything until we get another hit from a troll.

Actually I find that kind of awesome, re: the ponies. I was really big into My Little Pony collecting for awhile until the dolls took over but I still love the ponies (I just don't spend on them anymore. ^^;; Dolls are expensive to take care of and well...I have three boxes, large boxes, full of them. I think I'm good.)

I've actually seen that a bit in the Snupin comm lol I read this one fic where Snape and the other characters all got angry at Lupin for doing something minorly bone-headed and Snape did something JUST as bad or possibly worse in the fic but Lupin had to apologize and win back his love. The author admitted she didn't really like Lupin much which had me going o_O;;; Since I didn't get why she paired them. I tend to prefer to ship complete crack if it gets together the characters I want to see together. In Geass, this is less of an issue since all the pairings I like I don't need to stretch that much for lol

Though hmmm I will say that sometimes depending on the pairing one version of it is completely different than the other. While I personally don't like EITHER version, TezuFuji is REALLY different than FujiZuka. TezuFuji is all about WAFF and sweetness and a hint of angst and Fuji tends to be more girly and gently teasing while Tezuka is manly and quiet. FujiZuka generally involves evil!bastard Fuji dubious-consenting Tezuka who is more shy and quiet. It's less about true love than porn lol

And I guess that is another thing, at least going by doujinshi how a circle see Suzaku and Lelouch can REALLY vary and how they see their relationship can vary. I admit in R1 I saw it as something sweeter a la AsuKira (speaking of reversible lol I prefer Asuran on top because like most Japanese fans I like seeing my favorite character bottom, but in the series itself they're as reversible as they come.) In R2, Lelouch/Suzaku is a much darker pairing to me.

Now I admit a little character bashing between friends who know you're joking around is fine, it's character bashing in comms I think is uncalled for, unless like you're making a hate comm. Though not agreeing with a character or thinking said character is doing some majorly boneheaded things is not necessarily character bashing.

I expect her to do nothing until she has to. I think she is only doing something now because people kept complaining to LJ about the troll.

I use to play with MLP but I never collected them lol But the Ponystars are fun because they're similar, free, don't take up space, and you can mate them! <3 So my goal is to manage to get lots of little Geass ponies. lol I'm thinking if I mate Euphie and Clovis or maybe Milly I can get myself an Anya lol If not maybe Lux XD;;;

I don't get it either. I really don't. You don't like one of the characters? Don't go there. It's kind of simple like that. There are some things I won't write (few as they are) and I refuse to put myself through something that I don't care about or makes my blood boil. It just seems pointless.

Well, they're both way darker characters in R2 so I think you can't really escape that. =__= Sometimes I miss some of the early days where things weren't so heavy between Suzaku and Lelouch and then other days, I think it makes their relationship more interesting because they do have all that history between them and try as they might, neither of them can completely shake the other.

That's different though if someone gets it and particularly in person. On a comm, where the internet is likely to explode? Uh, it's probably better not to go there.

I gave up; I unfriended her because I haven't spoken to her in over a year, mostly because she hasn't spoken to anyone on her LJ if she can help it, just made entries and gone away and that little post she just made was the last straw? I find it a eyebrow raising that she suddenly cares /now/ and is prolonging this process. If her earlier behavior didn't make this so contradictory, I'd applaud her for taking the time but making people write an essay on why they should have the comm...yeah. I think it makes her a bit hypocritical. ^^;; Given that she is suddenly allergic to all forms of communication and can't talk (at least not to me), I just don't see the point in putting in the effort anymore.

I got one; I'm playing around and I see what you said about it being a great time waster. XD I spent the afternoon playing through just to see what would happen.

There really should be Euphie x Clovis somewhere.

There are lots of things I won't write XD;; Or read for that matter. lol I feel like I'm old enough that I don't need to like everything, but I'm also old enough that playing favorites in an obvious way in fic is generally silly (unless it is a more comedic fic in which case playing favorites is acceptable) and I'm also old enough to know when to not say something lol Usually XD;

I miss the sweetness of R1. I find their relationship in R2 interesting, but one reason I like GinoSuza is it gives a better chance for WAFF and I tend to prefer to read/write WAFF. Even when I try to write angst it has too many bright spots to truly be angst. XD;

Yes, in a comm it is not a good idea. Though again not supporting a character does not equal bashing. You can like a character and find them interesting but not agree with them and I notice people tend to have problems with this.

Yeah, I just saw the little contest with questions. I answered them all with a few sentences so we shall see. I'm a bit nervous about who will be chosen. It certainly doesn't make me feel like I have a chance though lol We shall see, if the new mod is not going to be more open to other interpretations or forms I'll prob just not share anything in the comm and make it a watched comm vs a friend one. And of course I have my little GinoSuza kingdom :P

Isn't Ponystars awesome? What is your username? I'm rkold and then pretty much all the ids in Area 11 Stable lol BTW if you have a mare don't put her in the grasslands adventure right away. It's a pain to get mares off the adventure and they can't get preggers while on.

I just know Lelouch is so knocking up Suzaku ^_^
