Stupid damn Mormons. ~.~ I went outside to try and get a few pictures of Lux with her lovely new DropRop eyes and got harassed by 2 damn Mormons. Grrrrrrrr And the church wonders why people don't like them and think they're flakes and crazy? When someone says they're not interested politely, GET THE FUCK AWAY! I HAVE a religion already one I am quite content with most part despite all my ranting. I have ZILCH desire to be Christian. I do not believe in the divinity of Jesus, it's fine if you do, I'm not asking you to not to, but I don't and I want to be left alone in my non-Christian ways. I don't try to convert you, leave me the fuck alone. My husband LEFT the church, I know more than well enough the doctrines.

And no, I don't believe "Jews" wrote the book of Mormon. It was written by a guy in upstate NY.

OMG, when you tell them you are jewish (which I am) they look at you like you are a fresh fish and they are hungry cats. I have a friend that told them she believed in Satan and that made them scared. LOL.

Argh! I find proselytizing, especially of the overly zealous variety, of any religion irritating. Someone preaching at me about how perfect their faith is and how I will just love it, is never going to win me over. If a person is interested they'll find a way to learn more or join the faith, so just leave people alone.

If they were male missionaries and you were alone, just threaten to tell their mission president that they were speaking to an, *ahem* unaccompanied woman. As far as I know, they're not supposed to do that. (Temptations of the flesh and all that, you know.)

It just bugs me, the last time we had 2 Mormons show up they were much more polite and lot less aggressive. When I told them I am a practicing Jew they took the hint. ~.~

My husband says after politely telling them I'm not interested the next thing to do is to get their names and tell them you are going to call their stake president and/or bishop to report them for being overly aggressive.

Sounds like Kennis has a good idea.
And it is ironic that they would approach you (I mean more than just approach you), as if you did not know all about it already!
It reminds me of when some of my rather distant relatives became Mormons, and retroactively wanted to somehow place people in Mormon heaven, and other relatives found out about it, and demanded that the people be removed from this Mormon heaven, etc etc. Quite unreal.

So, I hope you are enjoying a nice spring, and planting seeds soon and all. It is very cool here, has not even been 60 degrees yet!

Someone posted a link to your FAQ to the Club today, it was quite sweet, there has been some renewed interest in those kind of dolls, and there is a big "learning curve" so to speak.

That's OK as soon as you mentioned the Club I knew it had to be you :D Every so often I read through messages and try to post something. I think I posted info on that vintage Licca lot form Y!J (wow that price was so low ;;_;; it makes me wish I had bid lol)

Yeah the Mormons believe in a proxy baptism for the dead for all their relatives who never had the chance to become Mormon, or something like that. Mormonism is one of those religions where we all get to go to some form of Heaven, there are just different levels and stuff.

Is Sunil still in Japan? I'm going back in 2 weeks.

It's pretty cold here, I'm trying to germinate seeds in the house so I can start them inside and then move them outside once it warms up a little more.

Yeah, Sunil is living in Akasaka in Minato-ku now. He's going diving in the Philippines over Golden Week... and gets to go to Australia and India and the Philippines for work now (a bit expanded over Japan, Singapore & Hong Kong but exhausting) and meanwhile my passport has expired and I have no immediate travel plans. I am education mama, not that it's working, but I try.
Some spring would be quite nice, it's very late and slow this year. I hope you have a fun & safe trip!

I wish I could go to Doll Show but it was early this year, so it's just Dolpa for me. I love the 4 sister Yos but I don't think I can face the line. I might do the Sumika instead.

I actually just renewed my Passport, it went much faster than I expected. I would imagine things are exhausting with 3 kids to take care of. I'd love to see Australia someday...

I'm trying some new hotels in Tokyo and I have my new veggie guide to Osaka/Kyoto/Tokyo which is just awesome! :D
