So Happy Belated Birthday to Yuuta since it's no longer his birthday here in Japan. I feel bad I have a ficlet I plan to write but between being out and about in Japan and jet lag it has not gotten done. On the other hand, I got to spend Yuuta's birthday in Japan which is pretty awesome!

Anyway, things are going surprisingly.. well I think I am blessed with all the good luck I was missing last trip, maybe it's because it is the year of the rat.

Let's see:

Because I did all carry on, I actually made it through Customs and onto a train only 45 minutes after the plane touched down. This is quite an accomplishment because there is quite a bit of walking to get to customs, then a wait, then I changed money, then I got my keitai and then set up my rail pass. I feel sort of dumb as I ought to have booked to Shin-Nihonbashi as not only was it a 2 minute or less walk form my hotel but the train line for it was right next to the NEX in Tokyo! Should I stay in this hotel ever again I would definitely do that rather than Kanda with my luggage (without my luggage Kanda, it's a more useful stop) The hotel was well located in terms of transportation, but the area itself was rather quiet. Though now I know where the Kanda Starbucks is though I've not partaken yet. The negatives were the room was tiny, I couldn't get IM to work, and it smelt like cigarettes. I also couldn't figure out how to turn on the heat so I was freezing. lol

I got to meet Eleniel from DoA for dinner and a bit of shopping but was so completely jetlagged that I am not sure I was very good company >>;

My event went rather well saving for my mistake on Kate's address so my doujinshi are still being transferred. I have the receipt though so we can track it down. I rushed to Kashi's booth first and got the new book and then joined a line to get a sketch. There were so many big name circles that for the first time I've ever seen were doing sketches, like Kuroboshi. Though I prefer Kashi's art. And oddly enough, Kuroboshi is doing SuzuEuphie and SuzuLulu so they're concentrating on Suzaku like they did Kira except in both relationships he tops, which is sort of interesting. I got a lovely Suzaku sketch also from Zaco and I decided to get a Euphie one from a very pretty but smaller SuzuEuphie circle. I also bought one of their pretty books though not the smut one. I don't really like SuzuEuphie but I did like their art lol So only 3 new sketches rather than the tons I got from SCC or was that March, but one of them is KASHI!!! And they even made Suzaku blushing a little in my sketch! *___*

Post the event I did some shopping. During the January AE, I'd stayed up all night trying to get the winter coat set for Yo SD boy and had never even seen it come into stock. I was heartbroken as I had gotten no sleep and felt like crap the next day. Well, I went to one store and there it was, complete, very minty and 2100 yen! 2100 yen is what I would have paid in shipping let alone for the outfit. I was so pleased!

I then met [livejournal.com profile] dilettantka for dinner, and we got yummy vegan food! WAII vegan food! I'm not a vegan, but it's so nice to be able to get anything off the menu some place and the food was so good and it tasted healthy even, so much joy. It was also amazing to see Eda again. We had a lovely time catching up and I am looking forward to seeing her for GW. Plus she likes responding to text messages and I love texting in Japan XD;

Yesterday, I met with [livejournal.com profile] bittenbefore for lunch in Shinjuku. We were going to meet in Harajuku but I felt anxious about trains since I had to make a 2:30 shinkansen to catch the right train to Kate's. We ate at Capricossa which was quite yummy though I had hoped to go to Bellini's and had been unable to find it. Judy also looked really good just like Eda, it made me feel so dowdy.

I went to Tokyo Station and discovered a Dean and DeLucca in the basement where.. they have a vegan box lunch set for the train. And yes it is specifically marked VEGAN. They also had two vegetarian sandwiches one with ARUGULA! I almost bought one but knew I was meeting Kate for dinner and had just had a huge lunch and gah it is sad, but arugula!! Now I know though that I can get a boxed lunch for train travel there or even for an event. I am just so happy.

And finally to make things even better, I had Fuji-san side on the shinkansen and you could actually see Fuji-san perfectly! Usually any time Fuji-san is visible I am on the opposite side and have to go stand in between cars to get pictures. But this time I saw Fuji-san through the haze from even before we reached Shin Yokohama and could continue to make it out until almost to Toyohashi. When we were directly in front of it the view was spectacular and it was all covered in snow, and just guuuuh so happy.

So now I am with poor Kate and hopefully sometime today she and Emily will be getting their takyuubin packages.

Ohh Judy asked how you were! She looks so good, she was wearing make-up and I was like in a sweat shirt cause I was cold >>;

I just felt very dowdy, I still do but I am too lazy to wear make-up and you can't teach an old dog a new trick or something.

I hope things are OK with you, I got you a super tiny gift in Japan which made me think of you.

A blushing Suzaku from your favourite circle? You're definitely off to a much better start! And the lucky vegetarian/vegan finds amaze me! It's nice to know you can pick up something that *definitely* doesn't have meat in it.

Glad things are going so well for you! *hugs*

Suzakuuuuuu!!! There were no cosplayers at this event, I guess ComicCities don't do that. I was sad. I got you a gift too that I'm pretty sure you don't have and it's not Geass since you said you didn't want any.

You should see me in my sweatshirt, I do look dowdy lol

*hugs*

I miss you, email me your work schedule, maybe we can meet at some point on AIM.

I know it makes me wish I had not let anyone talk me out of it back when my favorite Fujicest circle was still doing doujinshi. (Since they and Kashi were my favs for a long time)

I'm glad though cause now I have sketches from most of my favorite Geass circles and quite a collection of pretty Suzakus :D

I had some bad luck vegetarian wise yesterday but overall, all is good!
