I'm really excited, he was amazing in the Ride Down Mount Morgan, and he's supposed to be even better in this. :D And since the seats aren't perfect we even didn't pay as much as they can go for!

More importantly, you're seeing DAVID TENNANT in Hamlet. I'd sell someone else's first child to see that.

Awesome! Patrick Steward is so cool. I'd love to see Sir Ian in a play too. And omg, I'll be so jealous if you get to see "Equus." I rented the movie after al the controversy first hit and I just loved it. I'd love to see it on stage.

No, I'm pretty sure it's just Macbeth we're getting right now. ^^;

Hamlet is being done later and in all honesty, I prefer Macbeth, I don't like the character of Hamlet at all (I've always preferred Laertes) and I am not a Tennant fan at all. ^^; So unless my husband wants to see it because Stewart is playing Claudius, we're not going to get tickets assuming it comes here.

I lose seeing stage productions of things it's just so much more intense. I loved Stewart in Ride Down Mount Morgan and he was just lovely afterwards as well. I really regret not waiting after to get the autograph of Rex Harrison when I saw him in a play in 1986 ;;_;;

I'm also debating trying to see Cat on a Hot Tin Roof because I really like James Earl Jones.

Whoops, my brain is slow and I can't read ^^;; I said obstetrician earlier to client when I meant optometrist. Confusing Patrick Stewart in Macbeth and Patrick Stewart in Hamlet is slightly more forgivable.

Stupid Mondays.

It's not my favorite, but it is definitely up there for me. I took an English class on Shakespeare in college and Macbeth is just such a nice read.

I think King Lear was my least favorite until I saw Ran and then I had new appreciation for it. ^_^

I want to see if anyone else I like is going to be in any plays/musicals so I can think about getting tickets.

Ooh, do it. I think James Earl Jones is part of the reason why I'm such a sucker for deep voices- he's been one of my favorites since I was a kid.

When you come out to Utah again, you should really try to go to Tuacahn. They're doing "Le Miserables" this year and I think it's going to be pretty good. My favorite is still when they did "Beauty and the Beast" and I loved "Cats" too.

Oh when is it coming to UT? It's my favorite musical <3 I usually try to plan my trips to UT based on airfare prices and the Jewish holidays (oh and when my in laws are free lol)

My favorite musicals right now are prob:
Les Miz
Chess
Into the Woods
Avenue Q

BTW are you going to Dollectable?

PS I keep forgetting to comment but I love the pictures you've been sharing in your LJ you're very good with markers. *___*

It'll be running from June 10th until October 18th, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Tuacahn's website (http://www.tuacahn.org/les_miserables_08.html).

I love what I've heard of Avenue Q. I'd love to see it, but it's not likely to come to Utah any time soon.

Probably not, though I might try.

Thank you!

Ohhhh I don't know when we are going yet. ;;_;; It gets complicated with the Jewish holidays and just figuring out when is a good time for the in-laws.

Avenue Q is amazing, I saw it 2x over the summer. And no, it's not so likely to go to UT. lol If you ever come East though...

I'm always impressed with people who are good at using markers, I find it really hard.

I am so excited! You can try to see that production of Hamlet [livejournal.com profile] ladybrick was orgasming over if you're interested. Stewart is going to be Claudius in it. I admit I liked Rozencrantz and Guilenstern are dead more and Strange Brew as welllol I always felt bad for poor Laertes, he's really screwed over and taken advantage of.
