While hemming and hawing a bunch of the hotels I was thinking of staying in completely booked. In the end I decided to try someplace completely different than the 2 from my poll because 1) It was cheaper but still had internet and was convenient to transportation and 2) It had rooms. ~.~ I'm a bit disappointed since I had found a just lovely place with a lovely price but between when I found and it and now it filled. *sighs* 6500 yen for a single in Tokyo was so perfect too. In the end, I realized that while the Retreat looked just lovely, the free breakfast was not such a big deal and the money I saved in picking some place cheaper covers like ummm one of my dinners or so.. >>; Next trip to Japan I am so booking my hotels in Tokyo more than a week and a half in advance. >>;

I hope this place is all right. In the end, all that really matters is it is reasonably clean, has someplace flat I can sleep, as internet, has baggage delivery service, and has a shower. I'm only there two nights so... I've been scoping my new veggie guidebook and it just makes me so excited. There are so many lovely looking places in it. *___*

After talking to [livejournal.com profile] muscatlove, I think I shall skip Ise after all and instead take a more leisurely shinkansen to Kyoto so that I can book myself a reservation to visit some of the Imperial Villas. I've always wanted to visit them, since my first trip in 1999, but the fact one needs to make reservations ahead of time has held me back. But this trip, I will make it work! I'm already feeling more positive since I was fast with the clicking and I think managed to snag myself a cavity set for one of my Yos! :D

Wish me luck!

Ooh, congrats on the Cavity Set!

*shifty eyes*

I know it's a long shot, but if you find the Boy's Cavity Set at a Volks store, could you pick it up for me? I sort of like the "devil stich" that the Girl's Cavity Set comes with, but I realize that the Yos probably can't actually hold the pitchfork.

Good luck with the hotel bookings! And take lots of pictures when you visit the Imperial villas--they sound fascinating!

Happily, though I warn you now, they sold out literally in under a minute ^^; I wanted the girl set just to get the tooth lol I love the tooth with the cavity, it reminds me of my own teeth XD;; I'm going to Sato as well as bunch of other branches.

I could not resist the boy set though. I'm just a little anxious because I decided to cheat and have it sent to my friend's cause it seemed silly to pay 2500 yen in shipping particularly when I am going to Japan in less than 2 weeks. lol

A few times for posing I've cheated and used sculpey to help various dolls hold things >>;

Well, I did find some place. It's 8400 yen a night which is a little more than I would like to spend with the $ to yen so bad. I'm just anxious as I've never stayed there before an I've never really stayed in this part of Tokyo before. It's quite close to Kanda. It's in my map book and seems like it would be convenient to things, I could even if I felt energetic walk to Tokyo eki, I just thought the 6500 yen place looked better and it was 1900 yen less >>; (which for me 1900 yen==dinner, but the Retreat place was 9900 so this place is 1500 yen less) Ah well, next time I will book faster.

I will take so many pictures, I've been wanting to go to the villas since 1999. I'm hoping to make reservations to see both. :D I also want to visit a few shrines and temples. I'd love to go back to Koya but Koya and February==a big no lol
