I ought to be taking a shower so I can catch a train to go to Kyoto so I can see Nijo-jo, Byoudo-in and [livejournal.com profile] chocolate_chip.

I ought to at least be reading more than the first page or two of my flist when I check LJ (BTW sorry I've missed important parts of all your lives in advance. ;;_;; Between my own personal misery and the fact I am in Japan I'm horribly behind and if you have something important you would like me to know, please comment here or email! The hotel I was staying at had free internet, however there were no plugs near the LAN cable and when one left for the day all power except to the fridge ended, so I spent the last week with woefully too little battery life.)

However, I am bad and love memes and [livejournal.com profile] zagzagael happened to be at the top of my flist when I last checked so tagged by her... I'm pretty sure all of these icons were made by me, though some are stock pictures/screen caps/a friend's artwork.

Comment on this post. I will choose seven userpics from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are using them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.

This is my MSD Nagisa. Nagisa was the first doll I ever really wanted and wasn't able to just get. I got very lucky and bought her in 2005 before the prices went sky high. Juliet was the name of a character from a semi-original ficlet and after hemming and hawing the name got passed to my Nagisa. I wanted a few doll icons and Nagisa is still one of my favorite dolls so I made the LJ icon. Though I admit, I've been considering changing her name to Alexandra and deleting this icon. >>;

I actually drew this one. This is a chibi interpretation of Yagyuu Hiroshi (RWT!version) with his little son Yuki-kun. Yuki is having a bit of a tantrum and Yagyuu is getting rather flustered. I often feel flustered as well or that I've lost control of things. I love using this icon.

Part of a semi-matched set with the above icon, this is a chibi interpretation of Fuji (Yagyuu) Yuuta that I also drew. Yuuta is looking a little surprised and put out, and originally I was going to make the text "Ehhh?" but decided sometimes I just am so surprised by something I am left blinking. This is another icon I love using.

This is poor Sakurai from Densha Otoko TV from the marriage proposal he sends out that goes not quite as he had planned (as usual). I just loved his smarmy expression and with his constant wedding day dreaming, I thought the text rather fitting. I like to use this when I completely agree with the poster or feel like I somehow did something brilliant. This is another favorite icon.

Drawn by the extremely talented [livejournal.com profile] kosquarepelli this is Fuji Yuuta and his ever incestuous brother Fuji Syuusuke. The text comes from a quote from the seiyuu playing Fuji Syuusuke, who at an actual event dragged the seiyuu playing Yuuta around shrieking "Kyoudai-ai desu!" I don't use this icon much anymore, but at the time I made it, I wanted a PoT one that showed the pairing I shipped. As now I ship another pairing and I don't post to PoT things often it has fallen into disuse.

This is a favorite of mine. Sometimes we all feel a little pissed off or angry, so for those times I have my buddy Shogun Yoshimune (Matsudeira Ken). Yoshimune is the shogun in Abarenbo Shogun, a long running samurai drama TV series I use to love watching. The episodes all had about the same plot with subtle differences, but I loved Yoshimune, particularly when he was kicking samurai ass. Economic reform was never so hot! At some point, in every episode, Yoshimune announces that something the bad guys has done is "unforgivable" and they must commit suicide. Whenever I use this icon it generally means I am annoyed, so it has been getting a lot of use with my whole luggage fiasco.

These are my pea plants when they first started coming up. I was proud of myself that I actually managed to grow something from seeds. I usually use this icon for gardening posts, though I plan to make another based off my fully grown plants at some point, possibly the infamous gay zucchini. Since I love to post about my garden, I use this one more than I should. I also sometimes use it when I feel gleeful.

Speaking of pictures, I only have about 60 more to go before I have edited my first round. There are no doll pictures. My hand hurt too much to bring any dolls to Sato. However there are lots of temple and shrine pictures and lots of Code Geass Cosplay ones including the most adorable Lelouch cosplayer to ever live.

Hope you have a safe flight [livejournal.com profile] becroberts
