I blame [livejournal.com profile] kosquarepelli, absolutely and completely.

She introduced me to the game World of Where, an addicting Geography game. You can download and test yourself on Europe for free, but if you want to do more, you need to buy it like Ko and I did. What I've learned from playing so far is: I have absolutely no idea where anything in Africa is (Since I never ended up in a class that taught African history.) Trying to remember the order of Caribbean Islands is excessively difficult. The capital of West Virginia is no longer Wheeling.

Unsurprisingly, I did best on US states and capitals and got very high scores in both first time through. Europe I only did about 71% but I got in the 80's for European capitals. (Though my second time through Europe I jumped up into the 90's)

What a lovely method of procrastination and I can even pretend it is educational!

If you like Geography, then yes. lol I find memorizing things and then testing myself sort of fun, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.

If you like Europe you'll like the game overall. ^_^
