There is going to be fireworks... redux!
Jul. 4th, 2007 10:25 pmAnd we reached the right conclusions and we got what we deserve, we did it! Despite the odds, I managed to make the house look a modicum more presentable though I have decided my new mop officially sucks and I am also less than amused that my dustpan has vanished. I made lots of yummy food including the last minute zucchini muffins which my husband actually likes! So the 4th was a success! I also have a ton of little seedlings, I will share pictures tomorrow, and the peas are doing so well. And finally, I have a cucumber. ;;_;; Only the carrots and marigolds have not made any sort of appearance. If worse comes to worse I will just buy marigolds for their disease/pest control properties as I do not plan to eat them. (Yes, I know you can, but marigolds are not yummy to me) I think carrots are just slow. I am so hoping to plant on Fri, but I want my damn zucchini seeds now!
So happy 4th to everyone, and I hope you're all as stuffed as I am! :D

Date: 2007-07-05 01:44 pm (UTC)I tried growing carrots once, and... well...

They weren't exactly as advertised.
I've heard that carrots need sandy soil to grow well. I don't really have the patience to set up proper conditions for carrots, alas!

Re: your previous post - sorry, I don't mean to be pushy about organising things. I'm trying to learn to be a little more laid back about it but it's not easy to break the habit of a lifetime, so I will content myself with organising what I can (things like travel insurance) and be patient as you check things out. No pressure, I promise. *hugs*
