Happy Belated Birthday to ladybrick. Sorry, I missed, Passover has a way of taking over all my thoughts and a very Happy Birthday to my Mom today, who refuses to get a LJ account even though I think she would enjoy it. (My father even more so)

For those who don't know yet, I'm returning to Japan in a week and half. Even more exciting is this time the husband will be joining for one of the two weeks I am there. We plan to spend the first few days together in Tokyo before heading out to Kansai to actually sightsee. I still have not decided where we are going to go, since I'm not sure how he'll be walking. Ideally, I would love to go to Okayama, Miyajima, and a bunch of shrines and temples in Kyoto. There is a hike between Fushimi Inari and Tokufukuji I'd love to try, and I'm thinking the Philosopher's Walk might be especially pretty this time of year. I'm not sure if it is worth the long trip to Miyajima, but we do have rail passes. We'll have 3 full days in Kansai and a last morning to get shopping done before needing to catch some sort of transport to Kansai Airport. I had hoped to fly out of Nagoya to save some money on my ticket, but since his ticket I got with miles I had fewer choices. Though it's hard to complain when one of our two tickets was $30 only. lol

I really wanted to go to the New York Meet today, but then I felt a bit meh in the morning and then started to get a case of the nerves about going. I'm sure everyone was nice, I just can be a bit shy and I don't really own any dolls that are famous for their photo-stories or are so rare people have to see them. So in the end I didn't go and I just feel a little bad. I know I can't go to the May meet up as I will be in Japan. Maybe I ought to try to hold something in my house, but what if no one wants to come, then I would just feel awful. *sighs*

I finally started playing with my Louis today. I think with the pretty pouty expression he has, he is going to be my Kamui. I really like his white ton in real life, and of all my BF dolls he is by far my best poser. I also discovered that inside his suitcase is a teddy bear. He reminds me quite strongly of Jerome, just with less of a pout and more of a frown.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN
How did you find out about PoT?: I kept seeing people request it on Streamload and despite being a series about tennis I decided to give it a whirl.
When was that?: Spring 2002.
What was first for you: the anime or the manga?: Anime.
Did you begin reading/watching it from the beginning?: I started watching the anime from the beginning yes, there was not that much out yet. The Fudomine episodes hadn't even aired yet in Japan.
If not, then at which point of the story?: The manga I started following during the Hyoutei match in Fall 2002.
What was your first impression?: Wow, Ryoma is obnoxious!
Do you download the manga?: No. Even when I was following the manga I use to buy it. In fact for several months I was the one scanning the Jumps that were later scanlated.
Do you download the anime?: Use to, stopped a long long time ago.
Do you own original PoT manga books? (How many?): 1-23 including the .5s and a ton of Rikkai in the original Jumps.
Are they in your own language?: No, they're all in Japanese.
Do you own original PoT anime DVDs? (How many?): Yes. Volumes 9, 16, and 18. I also own 2 official fandiscs.
Are they in your own language?: No.
Do you own any PoT merchandise?: More than any sane person should.
What kind?: keychains, playing cards, stationary, DVDs, CDs, cell phone straps, pins, plushies, stickers, folders, and God only knows what else.
Do you buy it regularly?: Thankfully not anymore. Though of course it helps I am not into the series much anymore.
STORY AND CHARACTERS
Your favorite character: Yuuta. (like anyone needs to really ask this question)
Your least favorite character: Nearly everyone else who is not Yuuta.
Your favorite team: Rikkai. They would be perfect if Yuuta was on the team.
Your least favorite team: I hate Seigaku, Hyoutei and Fudomine about equally.
The best game you've seen: Yagyuu and Niou beating Oishi and Eiji in the manga cause Yagyuu gave Eiji a concussion and I hate Eiji. <3
The most boring game you've seen: So many! o_O;
Game you would yet like to see: Ryoma vs. Yukimura
Your favorite pairing: Yagyuu x Yuuta, that order, love the crack!
Your least favorite pairing: Yuuta/Mizuki in either order.
The character you're most like: Oishi maybe? I can have a short fuse like Yuuta and Sanada and can be a bit selfish and childish like Bunta and Kirihara. *shrugs*

Do you draw fanart?: Yes, but it sucks.
Do you like reading fanfiction?: Not for PoT, no, and never did. I hate most of the pairings people write and I hate how most people write them.
Do you like looking at fanart?: Sometimes, though not for PoT currently.

Have you ever participated in a PoT cosplay?: Yes, I believe I have the dubious honor of actually being the first person to cosplay PoT in the US and part of the first group to Cosplay PoT.
Do you collect PoT dojinshi?: Use to, I am trying to cut back since I am into other series more and most doujinshika don't draw what I want. I still own a lot though. ^^;
Do you draw PoT dojinshi?: No, but I once joked about putting out a wrong copyhon.
Do you watch PoT AMVs?: Occasionally.

Which team would you like to play in?: None, I make Sakuno look good at tennis. If you're talking which school I would attend, Rikkai, hands down.
