Someone on DoA wanted to trade a Kasumi head for and Anne/Piccolo head. *__________* I've wanted a little boy Kasumi since he came out. He's one of my favorite Yos. In a way, I feel guilty because Akiyo helped me to get my Anne,but Kasumi.. He'll be such a cute little Asuran and will look even better with Kira and Lux. Now, all I need is a reasonably priced Yuki head and I can have a Shinn. lol

I like Anne/Piccolo a lot but Kasumi... Actually, I like all the Yo molds except Suzuna, Rengemaru and Yuh. ^^;

I adore Chinatsu and Kuuta. ^^

Kuuta is adorable, but I'm not fond of Chinatsu's faceup at all. I kind of like Yuh in a weird way, but not a lot.

Yuki makes a very cute boy. In fact, I sometimes think Shay looks more like a boy than a girl... guess it depends on the outfit and wig. But I like having a genderless doll with a unisex name just for that reason ^^

I like my dolls gendered. But I won't be getting one unless I can get one at original price. I won't pay the secondary market one.

Lux is eventually getting a new face-up. It's not dire though and I want to wait until post Christmas, since I have lots of family to get gifts for first. ^^; If she were a blank head that would be different, her default isn't perfect, but it's still cute. I love the Chinatsu/Kuuta mold.

(That and my top choice is in Korea and I feel better about shipping post New Years)

Yeah!!! Cause I admit I have duplicates (triplicates, quadruplicates?) of so much Yuuta merchandise as he is my favorite, and he only gets so much.

One Kira and 1 Lux is enough XD; Though I keep thinking of Shin and Asuran and Meer... >>;; OK I shall be bad since you are offering lol If you could, I would love a Shinn, Asuran and Rey (since he is December) charm. You'll know them because they're small metal Destiny charms with chibis of the characters and various birth months. I can't remember what months Shinn and Asuran are now, but I know Rey is December. I only want Shinn and Asuran if they're not with Stellar or Cagari since I can't stand either XD; (But Meyrin or Lunamaria is good cause I like them ^o^ )

Just remember, go to Ikebukuro and go to Sunshine 60. Pretty much the 2 blocks across from Sunshine 60 and the little park in front of the Prince will have pretty much all the anime and manga shopping you want to do in a small radius. There are other stores, but unless you have hours to spend, this little compact area can keep you VERY occupied since they have a Mandarake, Animate and K-books. ^^

I suppose you're the person to ask XD; Do you know where they might sell them? I can't remember if you can only get them at the Jump Festa, which would be sad. D:

I've seen them show up outside the Festa (as I've seen them and never been to a Festa lol) but they can be catch as catch can. I would try Animate first, then the K-books down the block since they carry lightly used things. I would then try the Mandarake actually, since they carry cosplay things for certain series. It both helps and hurts PoT is not as popular as it once was. While more famous, the Shibuya branch of Mandarake generally has the least selection and is the hardest to get to.

Cagari was OK in Seed 01, particularly when she was crushing on Kira and beating up on Frey lol I wanted her to die painfully in Destiny though and was really hoping Shinn would get to do it ~.~ People complain about Relena but she doesn't hold a candle to the annoying girls of Seed/Destiny. Though Lux and Maryuu get so much love, and Ezaria too!

Okay, hopefully I'll be able to find something! My mother actually agreed to pay for one for my birthday, so now I am on A Mission. :D; I think I'm going to be hitting up a few branches of Mandarake, and definitely Animate and K-books, so maybe one of them will have it. ^_^

Did you get directions to all 3 Mandarakes? I would personally skip Shibuya unless you have lots of time. Ikebukuro is most convenient. If you go to Nakano, go to the 4th floor cause that is where the cosplay only little shop is.

I so hated Frey. I remember cheering when I read on the upcoming OST there was a piece called the "Death of Frey" an waiting impatiently for them to kill her. lol

(I was watching Seed while it aired at the time and watching the raws about 1 hour after Japan XD; )

I've got their website bookmarked, which has addresses for each one, and our friends know their way around the city (and where at least one of the branches is, though I think that may be the Shibuya shop), so I should be all good! :D I'll try to hit up the Nakano store then!

If you see this before you go, the Nakano branch is the easiest to get to, but has more than 1 store.

To get there, take the Chuo or Sobu line to JR Nakano station. Take the North exit (You'll get to see the building from X Seishirou destroyed) Walk under the awning with the sun. Just go straight until you are in a building. there are a gabillion Mandarake and anime shops starting on the 2nd or 3rd floor. 4th is mostly empty but has a Cosplay only little store. ^^

Yay, more info, thanks! We didn't get there today, but I hope to stop there sometime this week~ I found Animate and K-books at Ikebukuro just fine, though~ :D (Eee, K-books has Seigaku jackets, so if I don't see one in Osaka when I go with my friend I'm hitting there again on Thursday to get one. :D) Also, I picked up the Rey and Asuran birth month charms for you, but apparently they don't make Shinn. o.O; Or at least I didn't see him! :O (How unfair!) I also found the SyuuYuu one so I got that too~ ^_^

I so adore 500 yen umbrellas. I have a few different ones Ive now brought back from Japan. I find the 300 yen ones are not as sturdy. ~.~

The 1000 yen ones are amazing. And Gah, that sucks usually November is not so rainy there. BTW have you seen Fuji-san (not the PoT ones, the more touristy one)

No, K-books is unlikely to sell out, now I have seen plushies sell out.

I've been to two Mandarakes, a K-books, and an Animate in Osaka (I think there is at least 1 other Animate) in Osaka, but I can't give directions well because I am just not as adept with Osaka geography, and I usually take the scenic route to the one in Denden Town and my friends do the underground mall way to get to the one near Umeda. (Those underground malls are the one thing I don't like about Osaka lol I find them horribly confusing. ) When do you leave for Osaka? I think my friends are visiting it sometime this week too.

Yes! It's the cutest thing - clear plastic with blue and yellow stars. :D I love it, and I figure it's a great souvenier! (Plus I'm sure I'll need it all week, boo! Hopefully Osaka and Kyoto will be better...) I haven't seen Fuji yet, but I will! If I have to part the clouds myself!

I'm just glad I have a backup for my jacket, now I have to figure out what size I wear! I think they actually go down to SS, but I have no idea how the sizing is. :O I may just go with a S if they have that. :D;

We're going to Kyoto on Tuesday and then spending the night in Osaka, and meeting my friend who is an exchange student from Canada staying in Osaka on Wednesday, then heading back to Tokyo that night. She wants to hit up the Mandarakes and go karaoke-ing and such. She knows where some of the stores are, I believe, and I'm going to do a quick online search for them too so I think we should do all right. She knows the area pretty well. ^_^

Well, the general are for one k-books, animate and mandarake in Osaka is DenDen Town on the main shopping street. So as long as you can get to DenDen Town's main shopping street you are set. I usually work from Namba station through a few shopping complexes but there is a actual subway stop even closer. I just use the Midousouji line a lot since I generally am coming from Tnnoji.

the Umeda one is right near Umeda/Osaka station. I think you walk out on the same side as a Hankyu depato (can't remember which type of depato and there re a few there, but i remember the overpass) and walk several blocks towards an overpass, go under the over pass and go up like two blocks and then go left and then right i think? it's not so far. The Umeda one is pretty big, the DenDen one is smaller but the K-books there is nice. I think you're less likely to see a jacket there but lots of fun stuff. I go to Volks, Gundam and figure shops in the same area. if you want to see the scary $$$ dolls like mine just go to the top floor in the Osaka Volks.

The Gundam store is fun, you might want to check it out. ^_^

When I tried on a jacket several years ago, there was only one size. >>;; they were all too small on me cause I'm plump ^o^ though i can semi squeeze into the m size shirts.

Kyoto's subway just makes a cross, so unless you get lucky in terms of location, the subway is useless. For kyoto you need a good bus map. ~.~ i got an english one at kyoto city tourist i think? (which is in the station)

osaka subways are really good, but more complicated. i think you can get a free map at a tourist authority.

hehehe yes the gundam only store is evil. i generally try to be careful there. >>;; i love the pinky st style gundam characters. i have kira, asuran, and lux. i sort of want meer and shinn.

I'm not so tall but I am plump lol You're much smaller and thinner from what i remember. I tried on a m, and i could get on the shirt, but by butt was too big and i couldn't zip the jacket over my chest lol it's good i didn't get it since i've gained weight since then >>;;

We ended up just taking a taxi (care of my mother ^^;) through Kyoto, so all was well~ And then we ended up just staying around Osaka station on Wednesday, so that was nice and easy. :D I didn't make it to the gundam store, but we found the Jump Shop and I found a jacket, yay~! I ended up with a small, which is a little on the big side but hey, so's Ryoma's. XD; And we spent an hour and a half in Mandarake looking at allllll the PoT doujin~ Maan, I can't believe it's so expensive in the States! I think I spent about $25 for 13 books, out of which 10 were worth keeping, so that's totally not bad! (Except the one that said Novels Only that I totally didn't see, but it's got a cute MomoRyo cover and maybe I'll be able to sell it to someone along the line. ^^;;) And YES, I have to say the Pinky St. gundam charas are soooooo adorable~ I need to get some someday!

Sellers charge more cause they have to cover: the cost of their current stock and of course want to make a profit. lol (and as my husband likes to remind me I personally need to put some towards the cost of going to Japan XD; ) Also, PoT doujinshi use to be a little more used and new a lot of them cost more. A new Blue Crest book is 600-1000 yen, while used, if you get lucky, they can be a lot less. Mandarake buys them back for 10% of what they're charging you.

I forgot to tell you the secret to telling novels from non-novels when sealed lol Kim and I are quite the experts. It involves looking at the squiggles and using your nail to peak between the pages. I still sometimes get text only, but not anywhere near as often.

It's scary how long you can spend looking >>;; So you went to the Mandarake near Umeda/Osaka station?

Yeah, I can definitely understand charging like that, it's just painful to realize how much I've paid. :D; I don't buy doujinshi much anymore, though, since I like to know what I'm getting ahead of time and unless I'm buying it from someone I know (like you!) it's usually hit or miss. But for 210 yen a pop it's easier to take a few misses! XD; I still wish I'd been able to find some Blue Crest though!

I have seen Blue Crest used, it's a matter of luck. And yes, it is much easier to get experimental for 210 yen. lol I am pretty sure that is how we discovered Blue Crest. Kim got one in 2003 for 210 and then we bought some full price at SCC. I'm glad you found some keepers though ^o^

SHINN!!!!!!!!!!!! Ia dmit, I love Kira more, but was so so so so sad by the thought of Shinn not getting a Destiny charm. I don't own and never did so I can't tell you about the inside in terms of who actually has sex with Ryoma but.. I thought you knew there is a Yagyuu/Niou do Ryoma Blue Crest book. It was part of their 3-some series. ^^ They did OshiAto do Ryoma together, though Oshitari just gets the blow job, whle Keigo gets the sex, and there is a ToriShihi do Ryoma, and a Yagyuu and Niou. Niou also gets a chance to molest him in the Rikkai molests Ryoma one, though I think he doesn't get in as much molestation as Sanada and Kirihara. The Ryoga x Ryoma is thick, I bought a copy once for someone, and I am pretty sure it is quite porny. lol

Ah, the dwindling money prob.. I remember with Kim we had 1000 yen left other than credit cards, so we bought some more doujinshi and pocky for dinner XD;

I'm just weird and feel guilty. ^^;; I feel particularly bad about all the doujinshi ones I own, since while I do own the doujinshi, doujinshika can be weird about things. ^^;

I am trying to remember the details, it came out a long time ago, cause it had been out for a while when I bought the RyogaxRyoma one for someone, and I bought that one for 800 or 900 yen in May '05. I think it might have originally been a short copyhon, like the HyouteixRyoma book, but then got combined with the ToriShishi copyhon to get a full book where the doubles compete for him. I think... I never actually owned it because by then I was starting to mostly want to find Yagyuu with Yuuta more XD;
