First, Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] spiderlace/[livejournal.com profile] blacktempest, hope it's as balmy for you as it is here.

I went to the Genius Bar this afternoon and got the happy news that if I plugged my ipod into my Itunes it would not automatically sync, thus erasing all my music and media. However, Mac refuses to endorse or share any information on getting things from your iPod back onto your Mac. ~.~ I'm really not sure why [livejournal.com profile] kosquarepelli thinks they're the greatest thing since sliced bread sometimes.

[livejournal.com profile] kosquarepelli also gave me her cold, which is more unpleasant than I had thought and I can't wait until I stop coughing, or coughing as much. The Dayquil only helps so much and the Nyquil completely knocks me out.

Sunday I was awoken 1 1/2 hours early my mother who was confused about when I needed to leave to get my sister at the airport. Today, I ran late to get my sister's girlfriend. lol Sometimes you just can't win.

Thanks, it's most unfun. I've started trying to wear a face mask when I go out.

Oh no! Not coughing! *shudders* I hope the cold clears up quickly.

In theory, I think the transfer of songs from iTunes to iPod is supposed to only work in one direction. However...I can't remember which version of iTunes or the iPod software I had at the time, as I've upgraded both since then (much to my regret), but I could actually move from the iPod back to iTunes. So it can be done, you just may have to experiment with different versions of the software.

Oh, I found some software on-line and Apple says they won't help because of DRMI, but it still galls me. It particularly galls me since some of the things are CDs I own somewhere in my house but I don't want to have to search for them and just transferring back would be easier. I also just don't appreciate DRMI, like at all.

The cold is really sucking, only Nyquil work and of course that completely knocks me out.

I hope you feel better soon!

D: I have not yet figured out how to get stuff from my iPod to my computer, either. If you figure it out, let us all know!

You have that problem too?

I will definitely tell once I have been successful! :D

Yes. D: I was trying to transfer some stuff back and couldn't figure out how. It's definitely annoying!

I can't remember, do you own a Mac or a PC? I'm thinking of trying Senuti after reading some reviews but it only works on Macs. I'm just a little nervous about accidentally erasing things, I might wait until my husband is home to get help.

I have a PC. If you only figure out how to do it on a Mac, no worries, I should be looking this up myself. XD But if you happen to find something that works on both, I'd love to know! Good luck - hopefully it'll work for you! :D

I have a Mac, but you can try these (http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=ipod%20to%20pc%20transfer&tag=srch) programs and see if any of them work.

Senuti, the one I plan to try, is Mac only. ^^;

Ooh, okay~ I might when I get the chance, then! Thanks! :D
