New Rule

My new rule is, no friends allowed to visit who are sick. ~.~ My cold has turned into an ear infection, or at least the start of one. I can feel that horrible full bubble feeling in my right ear. The big problem is my old primary care physician went off plan sometime last year and I never got around to picking a new one. I'm not particulrly keen to pay $350 to a doctor just to be told I have an ear infection and need amoxacilin. ~.~ I'm seriously in a bad mood.

I also managed to get a ticket because of my way expired New York State Inspection sticker. I went this morning to try and get the inspection done, but was told unlike when I went to do it last time I do need an appointment. So now I have to hope I don't get caught again between now and Monday when I got the appointment. *sighs*

In happy news, I got my MinoruWorld Leila. She's incredibly adorable and so thin and tiny! She so can't take 16 mm eyes so I am going to need to order some new 14mm ones for her. For now she is wearing a pair of green Silver ones. I'll try to post a picture of her soon. I think she makes a great Yuzu-chan, as she actually looks younger than Yuki-kun.

I have to say NY tickets are particularly evil. We got one on our way down from MA to PA in upstate NY. The cop trailed us for a mile before pulling us (and for the record, we were doing the same speed as everyone else on the road), hiding behind the driver window while demanding our info and bluntly asking my girlfriend if she spoke English when he saw her last name (which is Polish) -- not a minute after he witnessed us speaking to each other about where the registration was in English. They gouged us for about 200 bucks which we paid and forgot about...

Until three months later when we got another bill demanding 450 dollars -- another 150 for court fees and then 300 for the next three years as punishment for getting a speeding ticket. Oh and they put 6 points on her license automatically and her record had been perfect before that. I called the NY DMV and got bitched out and told in no uncertain circumstances that though the 300 fee applied to NY residents only if we didn't pay it they were going to put a warrant out on her and suspend the license.

So we turned the ticket over to her dad who was a cop up here (he retired a few weeks ago) and suddenly it was all fixed mysteriously. >>; No more fees to pay and no more points on license. It was pretty damn ridiculous though.

My dad once got an evil PA ticket. ~.~ I think this one is not so huge since it is for the inspection being expired only. I wasn't speeding and I had my seatbelt on. That sucks though that they tried to charge you so much. o_O I didn't think speeding tickets were *THAT* high I'm going to have to be more careful now. XD;

I hope to get some piccies of Yuzu-chan soon. I need to re-do profiles and set them all up, every so often I think about making one of my other LJs into a doll one.

Oh dear, I hope you can find a doctor who'll prescribe you what you need... and I'm sorry to hear about the ticket, too. It's hard to enjoy new dolls when you're not in peak condition.

Actually, I had amazing luck with doctors, I am a bit in shock. Plus I'm now actually feeling somewhat better. ^_^

Yikes, I'm so sorry to hear you're sick! Ear infections are seriously no fun. But new dolls are, right? Yay!I can't wait to see pics of little Yuzu-chan! If she wearing darker green eyes or light? Congrats!

Yuzu is in the emerald green Silvers right now. She's a really interesting size, I suspect I am going to have practice sewing if I really want to increase her wardrobe. lol She's very cute though and so now all I need is my LaTi, a body for Niou (and face-up), and a body for Syuusuke. If Asuran never happens it's ok but it will be lovely to be semi-complete. <3

By all means, we can move it to e-mail! I actually meant to recommend that awhile ago and kept forgetting. We're trying to figure out why DoA is being so freaking slow lately...all our diagnostics say it should be fine, grr...

It's always hard to get dolls in non-'standard' sizes. My poor little Narsha has a relatively small wardrobe for that reason. And it's wonderful to have a list to work on for doll collection completion, huzzah! John Barleycorn finally got his own body this past week, so my own list is remarkably short. Harlequinn's up next, yay! :)

It is a bit frustrating to find clothes for odd sized dolls though I admit I think it's also a little disappointing how hard it is to find nice casual clothes for SD boys. lol Ah well.

I figured the mods were working on it since it didn't seem usual. Some days it almost seems back to normal and other days...

Health insurance is so frustrating, but it's so necessary just in case of emergencies. Our plan is mostly quite good, the problem is the doctor I was using left it. ~.~ I had planned to switch any way but it's just not fun when you're sick and you suddenly have to switch. ~.~

Do you know anyone in your area who could recommend someone?

With my new insurance, it's Kaiser, which I have no idea how it works. I have to wait until next month to get the info on it and see what happens. :|

I don't know anything about Kaiser either. ^^; I am pretty sure we are on United, which is oddly the airline I usually fly. lol

Go to westchestermed.com. It's the website of the Westchester medical group. They have an urgent care facility in the building where you picked me up two weeks ago. They accept most insurances, and I'm sure you can call to find out whether you're on their plan. I've never gone to urgent care so I can't personally vouch for it, but it sounds like the kind of thing you would need right now. Sorry you're sick!

Actually, things ended up surprisingly well. If they hadn't I was going to try the Metro-Med place in New Rochelle today because they take most plans and I had to pick up my sister and her girlfriend to take them to lunch.

I so hate being sick though because it makes me cranky. And Kennis is sick too, so it's not like he can take care of me and the cats refuse!

Also, I don't think they can keep giving you tickets if you've already received one. Just leave the original one under your windshield wipers and that should do it.

Speaking of tickets, I just got one dismissed! Justice prevailed. Or at least technicality prevailed as it was dismissed because it wasn't filled out properly.

I'll have to get the name of your internist from you. Mine just died. I, too, am leary of antibiotics given my multi-hive episodes. Glad you're feeling better!

Sure, though at the moment I can't actually remember, but Kennis knows! I do really like him, my ear is almost completely better and I never had to take anything but decongestants.

I just don't like antibiotics cause they sometimes upset my stomach. Not in an allergic sort of way but in a medication sort of way.

And yeah for dismissed ticket! BTW, you can also reply to my actual comment and not just the larger post. :D
