Does anyone even still read this?
Wow, look I am posting, and in my livejournal... does anyone still read it, and if so, why since I am lazy and my life is dull.
For those who don't know, I am in Japan again.
My plane arrived one hour early, one WHOLE HOUR. How the hell did that happen and which gods do I need to sacrifice to, to thank them for this miracle. I also once again managed to have decent movies on my flight. I can easily watch the Incredibles several times in a row. lol
Then I managed to amke it out of Customs with exactly enough time to make the 3:15 NEX. Woot! I was amazed at my timing skills. I am so not Fuji, oh wait, I am.
Overall, I am enjoying Japan. I am trying to get lots of pictures and do fun things. I also get to speak my terrible Japanese. The last few nights I have been cooking since it was still Passover. It's sort of fun playing housewife in Japan and I can fortunately make omelettes. Go, me!
Tomorrow, I hope to go to Shinjuku and maybe Ikebukuro. I ought to, you know write some postcards but then I need to actually find postcards to write.
So for those curious, I went to DS 14. I also was amazing late and had a crappy number and missed all of Rieko's dresses. I misset my alarm and didn't wake up until 7:45 o_O I didn't get to the show until 9:00 and was #360 O_o But on the other hand, it's way better to wait there for only 2 hours versus 4
And other than Rieko's dresses I did rather well. I missed my chance to get the Annz doll I liked better by thinking their booth was on the third floor and that they were a no show. (Got tricked into waiting on line at LW instead) But I did get to see the Annz dolls in person. Very pretty. I also got to see the Blue Fairy dolls in person and wah! I wish I was rich and could afford one and like could get one from Korea. I need Choco. lol He's the cutest thing.
A lot of SD/MSD clothes, mostly girls. Way too much Blythe and Pullip stuff for my tastes. Had fun looking at the Castle dolls. Volks seemed to be in a pissy mood because this year they weren't selling anything but advance catalogs to Doll's Party on Tuesday. Last year they sold some SDs and lots of Who's That Girl outfits.
I gave in and bought a cute outfit from Ein Kleine. Decided I am not sure I like the new Momokos and stared at the way expensive 3rd generation NRFB dolls Totoco had.
I did take some pictures, though not of that many SD people because afterb a while they all sort of start to look the same.
Kyon and Kaori had a fabulous set of Phantom of the Opera dolls.
The Doll Show seemed more overwhelming at 3 floors. Or it could have just been me.
I finally got an official Rikkai jersey. I am most pleased about this. I've also bought way too many doujinshi already and Super Comic City doesn't start until Tuesday. I worry about bringing things home already. ^^;;
I got a wrong Jackal torture book, The D-Amb OhtorixEiji porn, and two more Death Surf SanadaxNiou books. Wheeee to SandaxNiou even if I think it would be NiouxSanada.
I bought the X chess pieces and there is no new art in the booklet. Buuuuu The only new picture is from an advert for the upcoming CD/DVD release, though I adore the picture and it almost makes it worth it. It has Kamui and Akira in it. All it needed was Syaoran. *sighs* Though because of Tsubasa, Syaoran is all over the place.
I bought myself Loveless earrings and a set of bandaids because that was just too amusingly wrong for words.
I've been visiting places that have appeared or will appear in RWT and getting pictures. Life is happy when I can do that.
expect another post sometime in the future, maybe.

You should totally come to Japan again. *nods*

Glad to hear you're having a good time. Envious as always, and yes, I will eventually get over there when funds allow. Getting hit with road assessments on our house didn't help. :-P Hey, at least I'm getting to study Japanese now, right? A step in the right direction, anyway.
Have fun!

Sorry about evil assessments.

When you come back, can I ask you to help me find some good deals for Japan trips?

Well, everyone wants to plan the trip around the Hyoutei TeniMyu, and we don't know when that will be, so we're guessing August right now.

At least I get Dream Live 2

The Yzak bandaids, the Krueze pill containers, the Kazuki and Jubei sewing kit, etc. lol

It's interesting going to Japan. Some things are the same and some things are so very different.

And wow, a soul... are you really sure you want to give it to me, I might do bad things to do it. lol

Yes, I still read your LJ. Live Journals are more fun than clubs in my opinion cause I get to learn more about my friends... You are still on my friends list.
I check my friends list and read all the posts ...mostly doll stuff, life stuff, pet stuff and anything "Japan" related. Posting to friends seems easier than doing personal emails. Unless I need to discuss specifics.
Glad you are safe in Japan. This weekend was pretty rainy.
Great you get to check out some dolls in person like Pocket Fairy Choco...Annz dolls.
At Totoco stand...talking third generation...do you mean Licca?
Can't wait to hear more about your trip...and see your pictures.
Have fun. You go to Japan too often to have a boring life.

I saw 3rd Generation Liccas at the Totoco stand NRFB. I think they ahd some relatively late 3rd gen ones as well as some early ones but they were sooooo much money.
I tried to take quite a few pictures at the Doll Show and this time they ought to have come out better because I have better camera.
There are some Jenny LJ communities...
Forgot to mention Volks dolpa is May 3rd. For some reason I thought it was Sunday. Will you have time to go?
Re: There are some Jenny LJ communities...

Yes, I'm still reading because as I've been very bad about signing on to IMs lately, your LJ is my little window into your life, as it were. *must catch up with everyone I've been neglecting*
Anyway, hope the rest of your trip is fabulous and yeah, I think it would be NiouxSanada too.

I don't know if my LJ is truly a window into my life since I am so very bad about updating it. I keep thinking about it and then not. lol
I was going to ask you if you needed anything but it seems you are rather well taken care of.
Would you like me to try and get you something from Dream Live 2?
no subject
That's 'cause I've taken up ordering the TeniMyu DVDs on-line - it saves pestering my friends ^_^
Re: DL2, not to worry, thanks. I'm not so fond of the new cast (yet) as I am of the old, so I'm not too bothered about the photos etc. I'll be a good girl for once and not ask for anything, my bank account will thank me for it! Thanks for the offer though. *hugs*

Eda has been playing me bits of Yamabuki side. I actually don't think the new cast is so bad. That and Yuuta was in it which is all that matters XD;;
We are not going to talk about my poor bank account.

I'm going to the comic con on Wednesday so I might see ya there.

OK so when were you planning on going? Perhaps we could meet somewhere and go together if you are going early. I have a ticket to see Dream Live 2 in the afternoon so I need to get all my shopping done early.
no subject
I'm only planning on being there morning/afternoon-ish. My roommates are going and Eri (the girl we met at the first con, remember her?) will be there too. We're probably leaving around 5 or so because there's Naruto tonight ^_^;; And we are big dorks and watch that regular like.

Sounds like a successful trip so far. Hope to see photos when you get back! Have fun. :D

Chrestomanci is my hero, or at least when he is Christopher Chant he is. Though perhaps Cat won't be a bad Chrestomanci in the future.
I will definitely have photos! *hugs*

Besides, I like reading about people's trips to Japan.
